Lucien’s POV My hands shook as I walked up the driveway to Sam. I could see her waiting for me on the porch and it made me nervous. Me. Lucien Blackwood. Alpha of the Blackwood pack. Nothing ever made me nervous. Nothing except that small witch that carried my child. She was everything to me, everything to us.

"As you command, Alpha." He left, and I was alone again with my curse and my guilt. That night, I didn't sleep. I stood at my window, watching the stars wheel overhead, feeling the hollow ache in my chest pulse like a second heartbeat. Far away, in a place I'd never seen, something stirred. In Eldwyre Marsh, where the water ran black and the trees grew twisted, a young woman named Ilyra Morwen woke screaming. Magic burned through her blood, hot and unfamiliar. My mother’s voice pierced through my thoughts, pulling me back to the present. I hadn’t even realized she’d spoken until the butler appeared beside me, holding a plate of roasted chicken. To my surprise, the boy nodded in agreement. “Yes! You have played it before? What level did you get to? I doubt you went beyond level seven, half my class didn't go beyond level five.”

She looks older, her hair has been dyed, and honestly, I wonder if a little bit of plastic surgery was used on her because the shape of her face is slightly different than it was in this photo. But I’m sure, this is Aurora… or I guess her real name is Alita. Alita Joy Thorne. I wait for Lorenzo, I need to show him this, but I don’t want her to see me. Not yet. I can hear someone walking down the stairs and I look up to see Sofia. She smiles at me and asks, “Any luck yet?” I nod, “Yes, actually… So, we received an email from the previous Alpha of the Scarlet Pack in North America.”

the one who gave me the jacket said, his tone calmer as he studied, his eyes on every inch of my body. I wasn't scared if anything, I was just done, but I kept my thoughts to myself. “What? We have to ask her something,” Neven snapped. “Especially when she looks like that.” I didn’t even bother reacting to him ; instead, my eyes had drifted to the third one. He was the only guy in the room who hadn’t said a word since I walked in. His hair was pitch black, tied in a loose half-up, half-down style. And his eyes… They caught me off guard. A mix of hazel and maybe gray? I couldn’t tell. But something about the way he looked at me made everything else blur out.

Alice had no choice but to gently remove her black cape revealing her long wavy lilac hair that shined even in the dark. "Lavander hair...." He muttered. "Do you perhaps have a birth mark on your spine?" He asked. "A butterfly precisely!" He added and Alice stared at him in shock. How did he know the secret that only lara knew!" She had a birthmark of a butterfly on her spine and could only looked at it through a mirror. "Yes.... How did you know and why are you asking me this wired questions! You sound creepy..." We replied him. "Well thank you for confirming it to me my lady, I shall see you at the ball tonight, please excuse yourself!"

“Oh. It’s fine.” After a few moments of silence, she spoke again. “Do you want to eat dinner with me, Wilson?” “Of course, little one.” The Le Blanc mansion came into view as Wilson steered the car. Its lights were turned on, and the solar lights illuminated the wide pathway. The mansion was too big for a family of three and too empty and dull for little Alice. After her quick dinner, Alice went to her room. Without changing her clothes, she opened her computer and searched the names she had been trying to forget.

'' Alice explained. ''We are really in trouble. '' Candy said with her head facing the floor. "The slightly old woman was a witch shadow, hair like matted spider webs, hooded round darkness of features, eyes like glittering jewels.'' Alicia revealed. ''She wore a long black coat, a black hat and wielded a long staff in her left hand." Alice contributed. " Marline is very ruthless. We have to be very careful, as she will come for us as promised. '' Candy said with sadness written all over her face.
