There are days when I wonder what the world around me looks like, what the prey I eat looks like, I even wonder what my mate looks like but I'll never ask because I know that although I am blind and most likely odd looking I will never stand alone. For I am blinded but not deaf, I am blinded but not alone, I am blinded and I will always have a place within this world.

I am positive that no one will arrange the chair we clattered, but as we entered, it was amazingly arranged back into the way it previously was. "Hey, Harp! Where did you dream the assassination?!" Emma asked. I can still felt her demanding tone. I tried thinking that dream again. "Shelf No.13.. near the center." I unconsciously said. "The book that the blind man has written have a book cover that has a big eye on it." "I see.." Nathan whispered and ran into the Shelves. After all, he and Ella hid there for a while. Maybe he managed to memorize them all. This Nathan.. how I wish I could be that smart, too.

I blinked several times, trying to clear the strange haze forming in my vision. The room around me seemed to tilt slightly. “No… not now…” I whispered. I tried to straighten my body a little, but the moment I moved, the surgical wound in my abdomen pulled sharply with pain. Suddenly my vision began to blur. At first it was just faint dark spots at the edges of my sight. Then the darkness slowly spread. The arm supporting Chloe’s body began to weaken. My body tilted slightly to the side without me realizing it. And at that exact moment, the door suddenly burst open. Someone rushed inside.

Chapter 17 Third POV Elara’s eyes fluttered open, her vision blurred as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The world around her was shrouded in shadows, the cold air clinging to her skin like a suffocating blanket. For a moment, she couldn’t remember where she was or how she had gotten there. The last thing she recalled was a sense of overwhelming dread, followed by darkness.

Nesryn asked. “It’s gone,” I said. “It merely stayed for a few minutes as though someone was testing it out.” “So that is why you came to the throne room today? To have a clear sight so you could find the face that was missing in your omniscient sight when there was a blind-spot?” Nesryn questioned. “That’s the problem, Nesryn. No face is missing, nor do I see any extra face,” I said. “What?” Nesryn tensed up. “Whoever created the blind-spot had thought things through,” I said. “And that is why I want you to look into it.”

Chapter 15 ** Harper’s POV ** Fear trickles down my spine as I stand in the dark apartment. I’ve been slightly afraid of the dark since living in those underground tunnels, buy I refuse to let the fear control me. I take a steadying breath and let my eyes adjust to the darkness. With every passing heartbeat, more and more of the dorm room comes into focus. The furniture and doors are just about distinguishable. This is almost like when I’m using the true sight.

I stared into Henry's bloodshot eyes coolly, then I tilted my head and turned my attention to the classroom's top left corner. Sure enough, the camera's red light was blinking right there. "Do it," I said quietly. "And the dean's office will get the live feed. You'll be disqualified from the SAT. If that's something you can handle, go ahead." Henry narrowed his eyes as his hands stiffened. Chris' face fell, and he growled, "Let her go!"

“Because vision is a distraction. After not having it for so long, it’s loud in its existence. Being blind, I had to focus on all of my other senses, including internally to survive. She’s saying it’s going to be harder to focus like that with having my eye sight back.” Levantus is still a little confused, but has a small idea of what Odessa and Rowena are saying. “I’m sorry, I’ve never been blind, so I have no idea what it’s like. Or what it really means to focus internally. For me, eye sight is essential. Though, it’s part of what makes me feel that she’s the strongest woman I know. Her eyes were locked on the pyramid, her glance sharp and focused, as if waiting for something out of the ordinary to move. “Path?” she asked. My father pointed towards a barely visible dip in the terrain, the bob in the throat moving as he didn't look away, “There. The blind spot. Twelve-second window between sweeps.” “Twelve?” Alexei repeated. “Generous.” “It used to be eight.” He confessed. “That does not help.” He frowned. I ignored them, and focused on the situation. “On my mark,” I said under my breath, in hopes of calming every aching nerves.
