Alpha Hunter’s command echoed in my head once more, drawing my hand and the knife within it up to my wrist.
I dug the blade in and dragged it up my forearm, crying out as I fought to no avail. Warm blood oozed from the open wound, tinting the bathwater a bright shade of pink. As I did the same on my other arm, splitting the skin in a jagged line, I felt a strange numbness settle over me.
There was so much blood. So much that I could hardly see anything else.
Within a few minutes my head lolled back. I blinked, remembering that there was one last thing I needed to do. I had to do this for them. For Ryker and Jude and Nova and Sterling.
