Elliott helps me into a chair and sits next to me, rubbing my stomach. "Jessie, everything okay? You never get sick," Jamie says with concern. I look at Elliott and she gives me a supportive smile. "I'm pregnant," I say with a light smile and place my hand over Elliott's on my stomach. "You guys taking turns who carries," she asks and Elliott chokes on her coffee. She clears her throat and says, "I don't carry, I produce." "Oh, so you're like Aunt Alex," she says with an understanding smile.

I replied. "And how can you be so sure of that? You have Blake, you're pregnant and everyone out there worships the ground on which you walk," Jamie muttered and I couldn't help but laugh because it hadn't always been as simple as we make it seem now. I was happy and I had all the things I could possibly dream of having, but it sure as hell wasn't an easy ride to get here.

The child still belonged to her, and we couldn’t ignore that possibility. “I’m not really concerned about that,” Frederick said in a hushed tone, lost in a dark contemplation. “Diego warned us that another pregnancy could be very dangerous for her.” “We can address that later,” I said firmly. “Right now, we need to find Jamie.” I gestured in the direction of Jamie’s scent, urging us forward. “When did your wolf’s eyes stop being blue?” “What’s the deal?” Frederick asked, shaking his head as if confused. We continued moving at the same pace.

And the CCTV cameras in the corridor had been non-functioning for days, so there was another blank for the beleaguered Captain Davis. Bianca was waiting at the door as Jamie jumped out of her brother’s car and tore up the stairs to hug Bianca. “Hey, she’s carrying a baby!” cried Claude, who had come to drop his sister, and Jamie scoffed as she darted a look at her brother. “ Remember how our Mumma…” she began, but Claude said drily, “Our Mumma was an exceptional kind, she’s Super Woman.” And he winked at Bianca to show that he intended no disrespect to her. Bianca tugged her young friend’s arm and walked inside, listening to Jamie’s breathless chatter.

“Good to hear that. Claudia looked different, is she okay?” Brandon smiled. “Yeah. Claudia’s pregnant.” The words hit Jamie like a punch. His face was drained of color. “Claudia… is pregnant?” Jamie repeated slowly. Brandon’s smile faded. “Is there a problem?” Jamie shook his head too fast. “No. No problem at all, that's good news.” But his eyes said otherwise. And Brandon noticed.

Eddie asked when he noticed Ella looking around for the umpteenth time that night. “The food is fine. I have just become a bit paranoid since we met the governor and Jessica last night,” Ella said. They were having dinner at a popular restaurant that was buzzing with activity. Ella could not help but feel like a sitting duck. “We can get takeout instead. We don’t have to talk here,” Eddie said. The restaurant looked quite busy although it was not noisy. “No way. We are here already,” Ella said.“Tell me what is on your mind.” “I got someone pregnant,” Eddie said. Ella was so surprised that she choked on her drink. After a bout of coughing with Eddie patting her back, Ella finally leaned back.

I heard her ask in anticipation. "Congratulations Ma, you are going to be a grandmother" the doctor replied with a small smile. "What? How is this possible? How am I pregnant for this man?" "Zayn? What are you doing here?" Simon had thought it was a one-sided obsession on my part. He never expected that Willow really did know who I was. His expression darkened, and the way he looked at me became even more hostile. He asked through gritted teeth, "Willow, you know him?" Willow's face turned pale, and she looked at me with pleading eyes. "N-no, I don't." She wheeled herself over until she was right in front of me. Then, she lowered her voice so that only the two of us could hear. "Zayn, just bear with it a little longer. Simon and I just had a baby together. I'm begging you. When this is all over, I'll make it up to you properly."
