Borrowing A Book From Library Novels & Stories

I noticed some of my teammates who were in the mini-computer laboratory in the left corner of the library. "Miss Scott," I think my form was ready now. I was thinking about what book I was about to borrow, but I end up grabbing the thin book with the title of “Sirius” I think that was the brightest star, 'cause I did not bring my paper bag and that would be very hard to carry then, I made my way to where the librarian was sitting. I put down the book on the receptionist's desk for her to record it. This was my second time borrowing a book from this library since I was used to going to the mini library at the Love story Café, which was the coffee shop that Sage and I used to visit whenever we

“ I need to go to the library to take a book for the next subject , The teacher said that he will lower our points if we did not have that book . I nearly forgot about it . Aron , you also need to come with me . “ said Ayla . “ Can’t you take the books yourself ? “ asked Aron . “ I can not take mine , myself . I can’t take yours as well . The librarian lady won’t allow me . “ said Ayla . “ What a pain ! We need to go to that stuffy room again . “ said Aron who was really fed up with the library . “ Ha ha ha ha ! My brother has never been so much in a library before . It’s understandable that he is annoyed . “ said Amra with a laugh .

Clearing my throat, I explained, “I’m a new student, just admitted today. Can I borrow books for our courses to prepare for exams?” “Can I see your ID?” she requested. After checking her system, she looked back up at me. “I’m sorry, but all the books for your courses have been borrowed. You may have to wait a few more days.” I sighed and nodded before turning away. Just as I started to leave, her voice stopped me. “Hey, new student,” she called. I turned back to see her pointing to a student returning books. “These are some of the materials you’ll need,” she informed me. “And feel free to ask your classmates for help if necessary.”

But Never mind. "I'll meet you in the library in ten minutes," I say, and close the door. Those ten minutes are spent splashing cold water on my face and having a conversation with my reflection that goes: "You are a grown woman. You are pregnant. You are in a contract marriage with a man who calls you merchandise. You will go into that library and discuss intellectual property theft like a professional. You will not think about his hands. You will not think about the worktable. You will not.."

Their faces had gone gray, their bodies trembling uncontrollably. Edmund noticed it, too. Without hesitation, he ordered all three of us taken back to the station. "Nevaeh, tell me. Why did you do that?" Edmund slammed the hair I had pulled onto the table, clearly angry. My gaze followed it. "Because that hair…is mine." The room fell silent. Edmund frowned. "What did you just say?" I closed my eyes briefly, then spoke again. "Lily is wearing hair extensions. "And all of it…belongs to me.

I believed in him. A few moments later, I moved through the shelves slowly, running my fingers on the spines of new books, wondering which one would be a good read. I was through with the ones I had selected. I needed a book out get invested in to kill time. I had too many choices, they were all attractive. Shrugging picked a book. I concluded any would l do as I flipped through it's pages. I got engrossed pretty soon. I spent my whole day with the books in the library. Time flew by really fast. I didn't notice a thick blanket of darkness had already covered the skies, it was night already. I knew I had to be home soon, but I decided to read one more book, or borrow if I had to. Just then, m

"That's definitely a problem, but if you have any other means of identification, like your ID card, I think I might be able to help you," Vivian said, her voice tinged with sympathy. "Well, you see, my lady, I'm not with any of the items you mentioned. I actually misplaced my wallet and all its contents on my way here," he explained, his tone filled with a hint of frustration. "I'm sorry about that, but I'm afraid I don't think you will be able to borrow any book from the library without your library card or any other means of identification. Those are the rules," Vivian replied, a touch of regret in her voice.

WORK ~~ALICIA~~ Well, this class was a complete waste of time, because tell me why the lecturer kept reading a textbook for us, a textbook that we have to buy to pass the course. I guess I’m never attending this class again then, I stepped out of the class and headed straight to work at the library. I greeted Mrs Pat [she insisted I call her that], headed to the back office, dropped my bag on the shelf and pinned my tag on my shirt. Heading to the new books that arrived today, I went to sack them in their respective shelves, ranging from horror to education, to all sorts of topics. When I was done I went behind the counter to input the books into the system, by the time I was done inputting

I sigh in relief and rush to grab the book off the shelf, heading towards the librarian to check it out. "I'd like to check this book out." I give her my best smile and hand her the book. "Student ID." Is all she says and I hold my ID out so she can scan it. "Sorry hon, says here you have an obligation for an overdue book. I can't let you check out any more books until you return the copy of A Tale of Two Cities." It takes me a moment to register the book she's talking about but then I remember that I checked that book out last year for a project and have probably misplaced it by now.

Small Madam come and give me and my guys whisky abeg" said a customer who just walked in. I got up and left. After I finished attending to the customer, I went back to the spot my Father and I were having a conversation but he wasn't there. I saw a note on the plastic table. I knew he left if there so I took it. Before going home, I went into the bookstore close to our bar. I was well acquainted with the librarian so he let me borrow books at will. While I was preparing for my Senior Secondary school Examination, Layo and I studied in the Library. The library was dysfunctional to an extent. The books were few. You could study the whole books in the library in less than a year. I feel people
