FRACTURED VOW

FRACTURED VOW

And now— That version of the night felt like something else entirely. A constructed reality. A carefully placed lie. Ava pressed her fingers lightly against her temples. This was how it started, wasn’t it? Not with a dramatic revelation. Not with a single moment of truth. But with small fractures. Tiny inconsistencies. Little pieces that didn’t quite fit until suddenly— They did. And when they did— Everything changed. Her phone buzzed again. Ava froze. For a moment, she didn’t move. Didn’t reach for it. Didn’t breathe.

Bruised

Bruised

He is right on my heels, still wearing his pink thong. This can't be real. "Hey, wait. I payed for two hours. You can't leave." He says grabbing my hand and pulling me back. The reflexes kick in and my fist immediately swings right at his face, landing a hard blow on his cheek. Pain shoots through my hand and I grab it. The weird man is on the floor, holding his scrunched up face. "What the fuck is wrong with you?!" He yells and I groan still holding my hand.

Broken Strings

Fuck those sacrifices. “No matter what, once in your life, someone will hurt you, that someone will take all that you are, and rip it into pieces and they won’t even watch where the pieces land. But through breakdown, you’ll learn that you’re strong, and no matter how hard they destroy you, you can conquer anyone. You’re strong, Melissa. I know, I’ve witnessed it. ” Eugene said softly.

Michaels. “The good news is, the fractures healed well. The bones realigned perfectly, and the surgeon used minimal hardware.” He gestures to a spot halfway up my leg. “When we talk about shattered bones, it usually means a comminuted fracture—that means it’s broken into several pieces and needs to be reset. I’m not seeing evidence of that here—or you’ve healed spectacularly well.” “Good news,” I echo. First time I’ve heard those words… Mia squeezes my hand. “So, what’s next?”

Broken by One, Desired by All

Broken by One, Desired by All

CRASH. Kaelen was driven vertically into the stone floor of the ring. The sound that followed was grotesque… a wet, heavy thud mixed with a sharp, sickening SNAP-CRACK that echoed through every corner of the silent stadium. The stone beneath him shattered, webbed cracks radiating outward from his body like a spider's web of destruction. His left arm bent backward at an impossible angle, the bone of his elbow tearing through his sleeve, though mercifully no flesh broke through yet. Even from this distance, I could see the unnatural twist of the joint, the way his arm hung like a broken branch.

I usually don’t do reviews however I feel like this book may get overlooked. I didn’t know how I would feel reading this book at first but the author has a fantastic way of writing which is easy to read and picture. I think the romantic relationships in this book is more tasteful than I expected!

Broken

"I'm just glad to see you're well rested after this last week." I point to my mouth and Jessie chokes quietly, "We tried to remove it before I went to sleep. You almost went into respiratory arrest. Your seatbelt cracked one of your ribs and it knicked your lung. It still needs healing before we take it out." I nod lightly. "When can I see the girls," I sign as tears fill my eyes. "Are the girls here," Jessie asks in a choked whisper. "No, but I can have Sarah bring them," my mother says softly and I nod.

“Rot under varnish.” They teased it up, and it came away in one satisfying unmasking—false strength yielded to true weakness that could actually be mended. That piece took their power cleanly, gratefully, like a hinge drinking oil. The rent drew itself together another inch. Then the third crossing arrived—the one the visions had not dared to name.

Mackayla’s Story

Mackayla’s Story

"Well it seems my dear niece has been hiding more from people then I originally thought. She's been living with a bum ankle. They have to retreat it do some remodeling, set and pin it, then put it in traction for a few days, and then cast it." "Whoa calm down what do you mean retreat and remodel...." "Apparently she broke it a while ago but never got it taken care. So there are pieces of bone missing so they have to retreat it file some of it down, and then fill in the holes in with a makeshift bone." "Damn that sounds like it was painful and a disaster waiting to happen" Blake growled low at the pain the woman must of been in. "I'm sorry" Leon nodded and the two men sat silently for a bit w

Shifted Fate

“Go ahead.” He took pictures of my face from different angles. And then checked my face. He clicked a button and then started talking. “Patient has a broken cheek. Possible broken occipital bone, both eyes have broken blood vessels. Nose is broken, in what looks to be three spots.” He hissed as he checked my lip. “Split lip.” He pulled away. “Is there anything else?” I nodded. I nodded to my side. “I’d love to help, but I have a rib sticking through my side.”

Carol Garvey
I LOVED the 5 chapters I read. The author found a different path than the usual werewolf novel. HOWEVER! Unlike most novels or book clubs, when you reach a certain point, you have the option of buying credit, joining the club, OR watching ads. MINUS TEN STARS for no ad reading option. Pure greed.

I’d love for Amy and Rowan’s story to continue. Rebuilding the kingdom, righting all the wrongs… life between Amy’s story and Carly’s. Then Carly’s story. I’d even love some character stories as standalone. I love the world you’ve created. I’m daydreaming of the future of this world so much! <3
