I held onto my chest and took deep breaths. Fuck. This isn’t good. Why does my heart keep on beating like a hundred miles per hour?

* Isabella * I wondered if I was still in a dream or reality but all I could remember is the pain that's been in my whole body. My heart feels like it would explode like a ticking bomb inside of my chest and I have no control over it. The blood inside my veins is working over time and I could hear how it travels to the rest of my body parts. My head is thumping like a drum and it is killing me so much. "Agh!"

My chest felt tight, like something inside me was pulling inward instead of expanding. Unstable. I gritted my teeth and pushed myself away from the door. One step. My foot touched the stone floor softly, but the sound felt too loud in my ears. My heart leapt too fast, slamming against my ribs as if it were trying to escape. Heat spread through my chest, sudden and sharp, blooming where something should have been anchored. I stopped. My breath caught halfway in, trapped and useless. Something was wrong. The room felt heavier, pressing down on me from all sides.

He however wasn't sure what it was about. *Is this because if the rain and the loud thunder clap or is my heart…* He paused the thought as he hoped it was something minor. At that point, he remembered vividly how his heart shook and continued beating rapidly. He had almost passed out in fear. *Is my heart disease acting up? Why does it feel so bad?* Kelvin had an internal reflection, because for some minutes, he couldn't control anything that he felt at the moment. Everything felt like he was going out of control.

Maybe it’s one of Uncle Buck’s friends. As I open the back door, my eyes lock on Jack’s — and it feels like a volcano erupts inside me, sending heat waves through my core. His gaze is so intense that I can feel my heart jumping wildly in my chest, making me breathe heavily. It’s beating so loud I can hear it in my ears. What is going on with me?

When we were tired, we stopped to catch our breaths. “I'm glad I told you. I was having stomach aches ever since I found out. Like something was crawling inside my tummy and making me feel weak and lightheaded,” she confessed, her forehead crinkled out of worry. “Plus my heart keeps speeding up and my hands are all clammy.” “You really don't know what that feeling is, do you?” “Should I know? Am I dying?” She asked, more worried than before. I wrapped an arm over her shoulder and said, “No my friend, those are butterflies in your tummy. Most people get them when they find their one true soul mate.”

“Can you describe the sensation? How long has it been happening?” ​“It’s been going on for a bit. Ever since I started feeling… strange. It’s almost like there is movement deep within me. A buzzing under my skin. Like an… almost fluttering feeling in my stomach. Every once in a while, I can practically feel something just beneath the surface, gliding along the inside. It’s odd. I don’t know any other way to put it.”

It's a warm and happy feeling, a feeling of fullness and contentment, like my heart is brimming. He gives me butterflies.

My breathing was unstable, heart pounding against my ribs like it was trying to break out of my chest. If this kept happening I was really going to die.

It feels wonderfully warm here. After hearing his heart spill out on the floor before me, I feel compelled to share the weight of my own heart. It's racing, pulling toward him as if it's being tugged in his direction. Am I having a heart attack? My skin is on fire. Something isn't right—should I be panicking? I need to say something. "Dean?" I manage to say, my voice filled with concern. "I don't think I feel very well. Something's happening with my heart and my skin. I'm burning up, and my heart feels like it's racing a million miles a minute."
