Aurora whispered to the wolf’s perked-up ears. They ventured deep into the woods. In the distance, the soft echoes of footsteps reached their ears. Aurora’s gaze sharpened as the wolf suddenly picked up its speed and spurted forward. They had spotted their target, Chloe, who was trudging clumsily through the blinding snow. Chloe looked back and let out a horrified cry. She tried to pick up her pace, but the snowfall had made it extremely difficult to move around swiftly. The wolf jumped and tackled Chloe to the ground. The wind knocked out of her as she landed hard on the snow-covered forest floor. She struggled against the wolf’s grip, but he was too strong. She was trapped.

I growled loudly as I began to shift. Alastor, Harriet, Heather, and Iris were already shifted, pawing at the ground, waiting for me. As the silver fur engulfed my body, I fell to the ground at a run. I let out my loudest howl signaling it was now or never to my pack. ***Bring my baby home.*** Gaea’s voice called to me. My paws dug into the earth, each stride longer and faster than the last. I couldn’t move fast enough. The thunderous sound of my pack of wolves charging through the forest, sending all the creatures that lurked in the woods running in terror.

She immediately recognised him as the last surviving member of the Blackwood pack.

"It's so dark and it's getting colder. I decide I have to try to start a fire. I'm looking for sticks trying to stay focused. Someone jumped on me from behind, pushing me down on my stomach. I try to stand up, but they're pinning me. I feel...fur. It's an animal. It's going to eat me. Then I feel it bite down on my leg. The pain...it's unbearable. I can feel it chewing my muscle.
