she asked, and I nodded my head. “I would have to check my files and cross match it with the location of the coven, but yeah I would put big money on it.” I said. It made me begin to wonder if all the Divine Warriors had Circle members close to them without realising. I would have to talk to Drake when we got back to the Order. “What’s that?” Brianna asked. “The Circle are an organisation of supernaturals who are infused with the blood of these four demons. They each have their own demon line and use certain supernatural to be on earth, and spread corruption, and all that good stuff.” Harper replied. Brianna’s eyes widened in horror.

Cedric glared at me and then he just smirked. All the children are now tied inside the magic circle surrounding us. I'm inside a different circle inside the magic array, that is not connected to the children but there is one line it's connected to, and when I looked ahead the line, there's another array ahead but that array is empty.

That action was an emergency call, requesting for an urgent meeting of the Circle. I nodded. “Good choice.”

“Trust must be earned repeatedly.” That sounded exhausting. Teacher continued. “The Circle exists to preserve continuity. Stability. Secrecy.” “And power,” I added quietly. His silence confirmed it. “There are twelve active members,” he explained. “None publicly identified. Most operate independently across different regions.” “Do they all know each other?” “No.” That surprised me slightly. Teacher noticed. “The Merge survives because compartmentalization prevents total collapse,” he explained. “No single betrayal can destroy the whole structure.” I leaned back slowly.

That gnawing nostalgia, that nagging sadness, and that strange sense of familiarity devoured my soul, as if it were a new era for me, the refuge I had inadvertently removed; as if I shouldn't have come today.
