Concubine Ranks Novels & Stories

" How can that be? How come the King is allowed to have a mistress. . concubine... whatever you call it and not the Queen?" Kaen exclaimed. " Yeah! That's just not right!" Manor agreed. " Well, I never heard of a male concubine!" The Palace Guard shook his head. " Well, that's because no Queen would announce like the King except they hide it better than the King." Manor suggested with a shrug. " Concubine is the right term for the King's mistress. The Queen's manstress would be known as a concubinator and yes the Queen is allowed to have a manstress. "

She married Christian for his status and his access to his dead wife's fortune, not for love. She gave him two children. Katherine came first, a daughter as cunning as her mother. Then Richard, a son to carry on the family name. Cordelia should have been satisfied. She had everything she wanted. Position. Wealth. Children of her own. But Christian's eyes wandered. His third woman was Elena. Young. Pretty. She became his official concubine, a position that was legal but carried little respect in noble society. Unlike a wife, a concubine had no real standing. Her children would always be considered lesser, no matter how much their father loved them.

“Bastetia only holds the rank of foot soldier…you will need to increase her rank if…” “She’s my wife, what rank do you think is fitting?” Ruben growled. Kat stared at Ruben and smiled as Scribe gave her a wide eyed shocked look. “Your wife? Ah, I see…that means we will need to announce it and have a ceremony…she will become your exclusive consort.” “Then get it done quickly!” Ruben stood up turning to Kat with a cheeky smile on his lips. “Let’s go, my queen.” Scribe babbled a bit as he watched them leave hand in hand before wiping his forehead and looking to where the guards were still standing against the wall, looking grim. “This is not going to go down well with the other Lords of the Nin

I'm so fucking hungry for Azriel after all. A smirk lifted his lips. “Should I get your colleagues then? Since you're not interested?” “Colleagues?” I tilted my head because what was that supposed to mean “Concubines.” Wait a second. It hit. “Excuse me?” Did he just call me a concubine? “Since you can't breed anymore, you're my hot concubine, the hottest one I can't seem to fuck—” “If you try bringing any of those women here—”

If he simply wanted to use her, I would have had no issue. After all, I had been nothing but a human slave dragged here in chains. Kael had taken a liking to me, elevated me to head concubine, and kept me by his side for years. I had made certain no other woman ever won his favor. I had clawed and schemed to stay on top. Yet Lizabella had arrived and been given such high prestige, such an exalted position above mine. Didn’t that mean he would replace me in no time?

Larry's pov Alistair continued. "I have decided to take that arrangement a step further," Alistair continued, turning his body fully to face me. "I am willing to allow you to officially remain by Rowan’s side as his recognized concubine. You would no longer have to live in secret, hide in dark corners, or fear being dragged away by the council's enforcers." The word hit me like a splash of freezing water. *Concubine.* My mind stumbled blindly over the title. I didn't even fully know how to process hearing it directed at me out loud. It felt so strange, so loaded with ancient royal tradition, yet so deeply unsettling.

Memories of that night were hazy. How long now? –One year! She had been his concubine for that long. She couldn't bring herself to tell him she had fallen in love with him, that wasn't the agreement. Days after they met in the club, she begged to know why he hadn't taken advantage of her that night and he had told her he preferred his women pliant and willing and that he wanted something casual. Kira had agreed, either way, the man was too beautiful to resist. She never in a million years thought she'd be a man's concubine but she was desperate to have him any which way.

Where the position in itself, seems degrading and unfit for any person, the rules and rituals that follow are almost tantamount to getting married to a person.

“First official concubine? Explain.” Poppy nodded, still breathless. “Okay, listen. Since the Trials were created, only a handful of women have ever passed all of them and become official concubines. The king may have a hundred women sold to him, but only four have earned the official title of the king’s concubine and Naomi was the very first.” She sat down beside me, tucking her legs under herself as she spoke faster. “She’s the precious daughter of the king’s general… and Advisor Saffron's little sister.”

Ella added. This was not making her case any easier, "The sad thing is maids are not in their social ranking range to even be made concubines, they are just used and discarded." This time it was Agnes. Aurora felt her appetite dissipating but she doubted that Caspian or his friend would need to force women in bed as they could get anyone, just not her. When breakfast was done Aurora made her way to the chambers and when she got there she got in and started with her work.
