Its large round eyes, rimmed with black were fixed on me. The owl drew closer to me as I wanted to pick up the bucket and rush inside, its appearance became more apparent at the closeness. Its feathers were soft and fluffy. The beak was hooked and menacing, capable of tearing flesh with ease, its pupils dilated and contracted, as it stared at me. Despite its predatory nature, the owl exuded a sense of calm and wisdom. Its regal posture and serene expression suggested an ancient creature that had seen many things in its lifetime. The white owl seemed almost otherworldly as if it belonged to a world beyond human comprehension.

I snapped my head at my window, there and then I saw a giant owl that was making heavy fluttering sounds from it's feathers. Yesterday evening, I had taken my binds off, while studying and had forgotten to put them back. This owl which was a big as my house, was whistling instead of hooting, something which was totally a different sound vocalization. It's eyes were growing bigger and bigger, as it continued whistling. And this started making me go deaf gradually, with my eyes creasing right into their sockets, spinning my world and making everything go blurry. I was suddenly rendered weak, and felt a huge itchy lump stuck in my throat.

Snow White flew higher in the sky and disappeared before their attacks could reach her. “Whose owl was it?” Morana yelled, shaking with rage. “WHOSE OWL WAS IT?” she growled. “Change the route! NOW!” Verity and I exchanged horrified glances, breathing heavily.

A shrill voice cuts through the merry din, interrupting my thoughts. I turn a bit too sharply, and come face-to-face with an owl-like creature mounted on flamingo legs, its feathers are a gnarled mess of ash-grey and violet. I can't even scream, considering chicken-feet here looked even scarier the first time. The owl-flamingo's beak clicks once. Twice. Then it scuttles towards me with a bizarre, almost ceremonial bounce, leans in so close I can smell dampness and mildew on its breath. And it peers at me with eyes the size of a football.
