I think I have to get some rest. I breathed in and out, but still, it was giving me a severe headache. I gathered all my strength and went to grab a glass of water. I drank it slowly, but then my hand was shaking. I started to feel uneasy and went back to sit on the sofa, but then I didn’t expect the next thing to happen. I suddenly coughed; I thought it was just a normal cough, but when I looked into my hands, I saw blood. It made me suddenly sit on the sofa, and I already knew what was going on.

Running to catch up, I didn’t make it far when something strange happened. An Alert appears in front of me with a flashing warning sign. “Please log out. The system has recognized a high dose of toxins in your body that need medical attention immediately.” The weirdness I had been experiencing began to intensify, enough to cause me to drop to my knees. When I started coughing up blood, I knew something was wrong. Luka rushed to me, dropping down to his knees in front of me. “What is it? What is wrong?” Luka’s voice was frantic as he twisted his body to be positioned beside me.

After leaving, Shawn covered his mouth and let out a cough gently. Only when he reached the restroom and closed the door did he dare to let loose. He could not stop. Shawn turned on the tap, letting the sound of water mask the sound of his coughs. He covered his mouth with one hand, and the other was propped on the sink, as he supported his body weight. After a while, Shawn stared at his hand. There was a red smear on his palm. Shawn's brow furrowed deeply. How could there be blood? Was he coughing up blood? Immediately, alarm bells rang in Shawn's mind!

I hear her wheezing as if she's struggling to breathe, to the point that she begins to choke on her own blood. I may not be a doctor, but I do know the basics of anatomy. I know that if a person is spitting up blood, it typically has to do with the lungs. I remember back to breaking her ribs. Did the bone shatter? Is that why she's fallen now? Because the broken bone dislodged or knicked something? Worried, I quickly approach her, picking her tiny body up and holding her in my arms. I jump out of the cage, careful not to jostle her around too much.

Then I coughed. The cough hurt my throat, and I put my hand over my mouth to muffle my voice in case someone was listening. When I removed my hand, I saw a bloodstain on my palm. My vision was going from blurry to clear and blurry again. I wondered why I had blood in my cough. But before I could comprehend that, I coughed more vigorously, and blood pushed out of my throat. I panicked when I saw that, but before I knew it, I was vomiting, and it was blood all over me.

I tried but a doctor followed us in. "No one is in any danger right now, thanks to you. The pack would be devastated if something happened to the Alpha that saved us all." the doctor grinned and I nodded, allowing her to check me over. After about a half hour, she finished. "We'll check the blood work but it seems like the drugs are already out of your system. You have a few bruises and cuts but nothing severe. You are dehydrated and exhausted. Go back to the pack house, take a room, shower, eat lots, drink lots and then sleep. Rest for the next few days and make sure to keep eating and drinking properly." she ordered and I nodded.

I wanted to tell him not to worry, but as soon as I opened my mouth, another coughing thread tore through me. And this time, my body couldn't handle it. I collapsed to my knees, holding my chest as the coughs came in succession like fireworks on festival nights. "Lyon— are you okay? Lyon—" The phone dropped from my hand as I felt a moving flame burning through my throat. Just as another cough shattered through me. And this time, the metallic taste of blood filled my mouth. I was coughing out blood! The room suddenly became small. The walls started closing in on me, and nothing could ease my pain as I tried to fight whatever it was.

I began coughing fervently, my fear peaking when I saw blood drool from my mouth to the floor. It all started after I came back from my training and went to freshen up. The minute I removed my towel to wear my evening gown and ready for dinner, a sharp pain shot through my body that elicited a loud cry from me. It drew the attention of Kora who just came into the room and she hurried to me with apprehension on her face, and it hasn't stopped since then. It's almost 30 minutes. The door flung open and two footfalls fell across the floor before I felt warm hands engulf me in a tight hug, lifting my face from the ground to them.

TYSON After we finished rearranging all the furniture upstairs, I found myself feeling weak with a pulsing in my head. My vision was starting to blur a bit too. My lungs ached and the familiar wet sensation flooded my esophagus. I quickly ran into the bathroom, just in time to hack up blood into the toilet. Fuck, I really had to lay down.

Finally, they stopped shrieking and they dropped them. I knew they wouldn't be so easy to kill so I wasn't surprised when they got back on their feet. However, this time, they glared at me and disappeared, dissolving like smoke. My chest heaved and my hands trembled. I sank to my knees and felt pressure in my throat. I coughed so hard my body shook then I realized I was coughing blood.
