It was not until the third time that my figure materialized before his eyes that I understood: it was not me at all. It was a phantom conjured by Francis' mind. He was poring over documents in his study when he suddenly looked up toward the doorway. Slowly, a hazy silhouette began to take shape. My figure appeared, wearing a black blouse, my hair pulled into a high ponytail, smiling at him.

The darkness beyond the Graveyard suddenly split open. A crack. Tiny. Yet catastrophic. Golden light erupted through the opening. Not warm light. Not comforting light. Hungry light. The sight made Nova's entire body go cold. Because the light wasn't illuminating the darkness. The darkness was retreating from it. As though afraid. The traveler stared at the crack.

' He asked with a raised eyebrow. 'How's what going?'. 'The whole walking into a dark dangerous forest, how are you holding up?'. 'It's that bad you know. And it's not dark at all.
