The adrenaline had worn off, and I could feel the tiredness in my body. And the one question that kept hanging at the back of my mind was: Why did the darkness not take over like it did earlier? He could almost feel every moment again, like it is currently happening. Chris is being embraced by the demon or at least, that’s how Chris perceives it.
