Albert Death is not darkness. That was the first lie I had believed. Darkness implies absence. To me, it was like an empty room, a door closed, a world gone quiet. But what claimed me was not absence. It was pressure. A vast, crushing stillness that pressed against me from every direction, as if the universe itself had leaned in close and whispered, Enough. I did not fall into it. No. I was taken. I was forced into it. There was no pain at first. Pain requires nerves, breath, a body still arguing with life. I had none of those. which leads your progress to delay. I fully grasp that darkness can be compelling at times, but instead use extra care. Always be incredibly careful in the pitch dark because nobody really fully understands what comes back to haunt you there. There is really nothing more absolutely absurd in this known universe than having to search for your own rationality long when you have already destroyed it.

ISOLDE I knew I was awake before I understood why I couldn’t see. It wasn’t the kind of darkness that wraps around you and settles into something familiar, this one was emptiness, a blankness that pressed too close, too suffocating, yet somewhere within it I could see something faint, like light trying to break through a barrier.
