Dried completely I dressed myself. “I will give you happiness,” Frost asserted, and I smiled at him. “Are there female Frost warriors?” I inquired. Shaking his head slowly he said with a playful smile, “You can be the first but you will have to fight and win Boris.” Cooking my eyebrow I asked curiously who Boris was. Frost climbed out of the river chuckling. After he dressed he leaned his face before mine and I could see the stubble on his chin. “Boris is my pet polar bear,” he said and I snorted while I laughed but then paused.

A split second later, Malix does, too, leaving me alone with the broken table. I clutch my useless-ass fork and spoon like they’re going to do shit against the shadows and watch the coordinated violence unfolding around me. Even though Frost doesn’t seem aware of Kian and Malix even being beside him, they’re still able to dance around him, snatching at spare shadows when they break free from his powerful jaws. Frost is a force of nature. He leaps off the walls and slams into counters, mowing through the shadows ferociously. He fights like a wolf possessed, decimating the shadows so thoroughly that my gaze can hardly keep up with him.

Ruby eyes blinked in the morning mist, eyes that looked vaguely familiar to her. “Oh my god, oh my god,” her breathing was becoming erratic, her heart beating like a rabbit, as she watched the incredible vision unfold before her. “Madchen, it’s ok,” Drago had a death grip on her arm, trying to calm her, but who could be calm at a time like this??

I sighed and told them what the spirit told me. “But why only to Lady Seraphina? The spirit could have just meet Sir Zale, and since he is a water element user, the heir to say the least, why not him?” Asked Notus while looking confused. I sighed and just crouched to be at his eye level. “If the spirit were to summon Zale, then it will just end there. Remember when I said that the vengeance spirit was a fire? It might be a fire spirit that was tainted by some pollution from here.” I explained.

"What just happened?" Frost stared silently at the burnt patch of ground. Instead of answering, he just looked at me, then walked past me. He bent down and picked up Damon's body from where it lay in the ritual circle. "Let's get out of here." * * *

Frost spun at Daimon’s cry, catching sight of him crumpled on the ground. One of the rogues sank its teeth into Frost’s arm, but he barely flinched. With a snarl, Frost seized the wolf by the throat and hurled it away like it was nothing. The rogue that had tried to ambush Andriel from behind lunged again, but Frost was ready. He caught it mid-attack, snapping its neck with a swift, brutal twist.

"We actually missed having you come around." Frost chuckled, a sound that felt like velvet over ice. "I really missed you both," he said, then turned curious. "And where's the rogue?" "My lord," Damon suddenly called, taking steps forward and giving a full bow. Frost smiled, patting his back and signalling him to get up. "He's been incredible," I said honestly. "A quiet work machine. He practically carried half the entire warehouse today." "Yeah," Maya added. "If we had two more Damons, we sure would retire early."

Five years after my parents' divorce, I met my mother at school. She had just finished a parent-teacher meeting for her stepdaughter, who was the top student in the grade, and was beaming with joy. The moment she saw me, her expression darkened. "Do you always come to school dressed like this? This is how your father is raising you?" She handed me a business card and said in a condescending tone, "Take this. Tell your father that I'll enroll you in the international program right away if he's willing to admit his mistake. It's better than staying in the regular program and struggling." I did not take it and took a few steps back. "No thanks, Ms. Stroll." She frowned, her eyes filled with

My heart ached. Even after my death, Kenneth still didn’t trust me. Someone had leaked the tragic state of my corpse in the hospital online, causing an uproar. The entire pack was in shock. Everyone whispered among themselves. Their most revered Alpha, Kenneth, had frozen his own Luna to death. In fact, it wasn't just in any season, but it was in the middle of the scorching summer. Everyone knew that the freezer had been faulty long ago.
