Of course, I'm considered a Princess because of my parents' status as royalty but still not used to the title. I look around to observe this underground village; everything seems peaceful and colorful. The houses are either made of wood, rocks, or plants in the renaissance style in medieval times. So many flowers, everyone. A few flowers open and reveal tiny fairies waking up from their naps as they greeted me welcome. There are varieties of fairies living here; mushroom fairies, tree fairies, flower fairies, water fairies, and fairies that look primarily like insects. These fairies are much smaller than Feno. She sat down quickly, claiming the spot, while Marl went to the bar to order food. The chair creaked under her weight but held. She was just starting to relax slightly when the door to the tavern burst open and a group of fairies stumbled in. They were rough, mean looking fairies with sharp teeth and sharper attitudes. There were five of them, all male and all clearly already drunk despite it being relatively early in the evening.

The fairy exclaimed cheerfully, making Jai couldn't help but smile wider. "Here, Jai! More drink!" The orange fairy approached him with another cup. "Ah, thank you." Jai took the cup from its tiny hands. He was no longer feeling numb, but his body still felt sluggish. After his fourth cup, he was able to move his feet. And he felt like getting up, so he did. He moved to sit at one of the smooth barks, that turned out to be chairs—the fairies’ chairs.

For a different kind of delicacy.” I saw black eyes in green water, mouths filled with rows of sharp teeth. I was gripping the stool so hard my knuckles ached. “Fair folk,” she said, her voice turning sharp. “Don’t ever call them fairies. That word is a lie. They are not cute. They are not kind. They are old as time, twisted by beauty and cruelty. They trade in riddles and pain. Step into their realm, and time will forget you. You will come back hollow, if you come back at all.”

This particular one takes his time to approach, with his hands up to convey the message that he meant no harm. When he is just a meter away, the group notices that something is strange in the fire fairy’s demeanour. The eyes of this fairy are a bit odd. Instead of yellow irises, like the rest of his kind, his were coal black! This only means one thing. He is under a spell to follow any command of whoever put that particular spell.

The world was a canvas of wonder, and the forest seemed to pulse with secrets. It was then that the Daryad fairy, a delicate ethereal being with wings adorned in glistening dewdrops, appeared before Ava. The fairy's presence was both enchanting and comforting, a guardian spirit in the moonlit haven. Daryad's voice, like the gentle rustle of leaves in a breeze, spoke of destiny woven into the fabric of nature.
