The group moved cautiously, their senses heightened by the forest’s eerie silence. Every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs put them on edge, but they pressed on, driven by the urgency of their mission.
By nightfall, they reached the outskirts of the Whispering Woods. The trees here were ancient and gnarled, their branches forming a canopy so dense that it blocked out the moonlight. The air was thick with the scent of moss and decay, and the only sound was the faint rustle of leaves in the wind.
