"Let go, Derek! It hurts!" Nathaniel shouted from behind, "Derek, stop!" But Derek was too emotional. He pulled me harder up the stairs. I tripped on the third step. My feet lost their footing. My body fell backward. I tumbled down. One... two... three steps. The suitcase slipped from my hand, falling first. My head hit the railing, my shoulder hit the wood, then my back. When I stopped halfway down the stairs, a sharp pain stabbed through my lower abdomen.

"You look like a thief trying to escape." I was holding my breath, tilting my head on the side to meet Calix aqua blue eyes, drowning myself by just looking at his eyes. I was about to speak when I caught off balance, I rolling down the stairs, I saw Calix went shock but came running after me when he came back to reality. I'm sure as hell that everyone on this house heard my fall. And why the hell this stairs to long? It feels like forever before I reached the ground.

I was falling. The world spun around me as I tumbled down the stairs. Sharp pain exploded through my body with each impact. Then, a final, sickening thud as my head struck something hard. For a brief moment, I saw my mother’s panicked face peering down at me from the top of the stairs. Then, darkness engulfed me, and everything faded to black.

I slid into them and after reaching for my phone I ambled out of my room and headed downstairs. I had barely made it past two stairs when I slipped and lost my balance and before I could do anything I was already rolling down the stairs. I winced, and let out a scream as my belly hit the ground when I reached the floor. A stab of pain washed through me before my eyes closed shut, thick darkness overwhelming me.

Everything about this house, this family, this whole night is starting to make my skin crawl. I roll my eyes and hiss under my breath. “Get away, old hag.” I shove her shoulder to push past her. The push is harder than I intended. Linda stumbles. Her foot slips on the edge of the stair. Her arms flail for a second, eyes going wide with sudden panic— Then she’s falling. Jesus Christ. She falls down the stairs, a hot red liquid gushing from her head.

This guy is insane because he seems to have a split personality that he doesn't have. "h-hello?" I asked to greet you here and I slowly turned to face the staircase. I intended to go down so I went out. I started walking and I felt Cayden following so I suddenly felt alone because he was behind me. So I almost walked down the stairs and suddenly one of my feet slipped on the step and I lost my balance! I was suddenly alarmed because I only had one fall! And I'm sure after this I'll be crippled. So before I fell completely I tried to reach the railing of the stairs so it stopped me from falling but my hand hurt from holding the railing so I kicked the stairs and jump and twirled mid-air befor

But just as I began to descend, my foot slipped so hard and everything happened so fast now before I could realize it I had lost balance. A sharp gasp left my lips as my body lost balance. I tumbled down the stairs, my body heating against the edges of the stairs, pain shooting through my body until my head hit something hard and then.. Darkness.

She growled in my face before pushing me backwards and letting me go. The floor disappeared from under my feet, and I frantically reached out swiping at thin air as I fell backwards. The floor was not there. It was then the realisation hit me that we were in the stairwell. I was falling and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I tried to protect my stomach as I crashed down step by step.

I can’t believe it at all. Devastated, I make my way down the stairs. My head is full. It’s full of images and words and thoughts. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get that image out of my mind. It’s too vivid. I take one step at a time, feeling like I’ll just tumble down the stairs and fall straight to the bottom. That doesn’t happen.

I can’t wait to see her with my mark on her neck. A commotion downstairs pulls me out of my musings and I quickly rush to the source of the noise, hoping whatever it is isn’t too bad. I rush down the hallway and am halfway down the stairs before I realise I am hurtling towards the problem at top speed. I try to stop myself, but the force I had acquired while running to get here propels me forwards and try as I might, I can’t stop myself in time. I see the eyes of the onlookers widen as my arms cartwheel while I try to stop myself, but it is no use. With a cry from one of the onlookers, I fell into the hole that has appeared in our staircase. I cry out as I descend, hurtling into the darkness
