On the bank, was standing another figure in white robes and the figure's light shaded hair dripped with water―as if the person just took a dip. A sense of familiarity probbed Roy and he found himself mindlessly walking towards the figure with light steps. The wettish grass crunched under Roy's feet, alerting the figure. The figure huddled closer to the bank, where some tall plants have grown but Roy was not willing to lose the person. Roy increased his pace to catch the figure but suddenly a blinding light appeared in front of Roy's sight and enclosed the whole surrounding. Roy closed his eyes to escape the blinding light and the next time he opened them―the interior of the car greeted him.

When he got to the center of the book, the characters became clearer so that he could read a long forgotten story. "... and God's power became weaker. People gave themselves to their despair.
