Back then, I told myself they were just like family, so there was no need to get jealous. However, all those little signs I had ignored played back in my head, over and over. When she came back, we launched our design studio. I landed a whale of a client, a deal that put us on the map overnight. On the night of our big bash, I had one too many and wanted her to pick me up. I called over and over, but got nothing. Finally, a coworker ended up driving me home. The morning after, she came to me with puffy, red eyes, spilling the story of how Yoel was heartbroken, how he had drowned his sorrows in booze at the bar, and how she had stayed with him through the night.

So I began to adjust my position calmly: first relax my shoulder and back muscles, tuck my arms to my chest to reduce the space my body took up, then slowly support the floor with my elbows and shift my center of gravity back little by little. The whole process lasted nearly ten minutes. My face flushed with effort, and my arms and knees were dusted, but I never gave up. Finally, with one slow push, my shoulder broke free from the bed frame, and I pulled myself completely out from under the bed. "You weren't going to eat me when you licked my neck?" I demanded a little too loudly. "Wherever you heard that from?" He appeared amused. "Only rogues eat human flesh. Also, what was that you said you know?"

Flipping the page over, I read a few more lines. The book was quite intriguing. But after a few pages, it was slipping out of reality and going through some non realistic stories. By the time I read my third fairytale story about a fairly young woman getting lost at sea and ended up falling in live with a beast that lived beyond the lands of the five Kingdoms, I softly closed the book and let out a sigh. "That was fun." Prince Victor sarcastically commented before lifting his arms over his head and letting out a loud yawn.

he asked, his voice filled with a longing for more. Mama Hazel, her heart warmed by his enthusiasm, smiled. "Of course, Theo. What kind of story would you like to hear?" Theo, his eyes sparkling with mischief, grinned. "Tell me a story about a princess who can fly!" And so, Mama Hazel, her imagination ignited by Theo's request, spun a tale of a princess who could soar through the sky on the back of a giant, feathered bird. She described the princess's adventures, her encounters with talking animals, and her quest to save a kingdom from a wicked sorcerer.

His big eyes stared at me with hope and anticipation. I pulled him closer and placed his head on my chest. He wrapped his tiny arm around my stomach. I started running my fingers in his silky hairs. It was a surreal feeling that I couldn’t explain in words. I felt the motherly instinct when I didn’t give birth to a child myself. “Will you tell me a ghost story, Mom?” He poked my cheek. “I don’t know any ghost story but I can tell you the story of a young prince who befriended a lion. It’s not a fairy tale.” I said.

The red cap soon turning into dust in the foreign realm. Taking his sword, I blended into the shadows, leaving the alley behind. * Two days have passed after the fight and I finally reached the remote beach on the outskirts of New York City. A lonely black horse was gazing into the horizon. Upon sensing my presence, he trotted happily toward me. “Long time no see buddy,” I whispered the words when he snuggled into my shoulder. “Take us home.” I sigh, climbing onto his back and holding tight. Picking up speed toward the water he gradually lifted us in the air. Galloping now through the thick haze just above the dark waters.

Stepping away, I pull the net curtain up, waiting until Jessa comes to tend to my room. By the time she is done, I've finished translating old Jade Province dialectic from a book from Tai's library. It's old tales of the Beast, stealing children from villages, some never to be seen again. It's hard to tell how much of it is true accounts, and how much of it is fiction.

The car then rolled forward and crushed him I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. I'm thinking of writing my own scary stories, but not anytime soon. The book was named in the deep and it was about some girl named Hephzibah and it was pretty interesting and scary the way my baby sister had told it with a touch light under her chin, illuminating her face and weird canines.
