Everything is a perfection of oddness but undeniably beautiful. "Wow, I never imagined an alien world could be this beautiful." I just stated. I can see there are flying birds but I am not sure if those are birds. "Why? What did you expect?" Genieva smirked as she looked at me. I turned to him. "You know, we have movies back on Earth. Some are portraying an Alien world that is the opposite world to yours. There is no green. There is no oxygen. Everything is rocks and dead soil. Plants are unable to live. It is a place where like a plague." I will explain.

Tobias kicked, punched, ducked, twisted, like some martial arts god dropped into the wrong storyline. “What… the hell?” I whispered, eyes wide. Another man tried to ambush him from behind, but Tobias spun and took him out with a flying knee to the chest. I just stood there, jaw practically unhinged, trying to process what I was seeing. “Is this… a movie?” I muttered to myself. “Am I in a film? Did someone cast me as the clueless hostage without telling me?” I glanced around for cameras. Boom mics. Anything. Nothing. Then I saw one of the men reaching into his jacket...and my blood ran cold.

"You might use the word 'werewolf,' though that's a bit of a misnomer. Wrap your brain around that and try and keep up." Tarloh shook his head, noticing that Jane blanched under the heat of Red's gaze. The girl was confused, and terrified, and now she was being attacked. He knew what Red's problem was and that she wasn't actually mad at Jane, but Jane just made too convenient of a target. "Jane, over the history of the world, cracks between dimensions have come and gone. And it seems that there is a certain symmetry, as in there seems to be an alternate 'Earth' in every other dimension. "Trust me, there are those who can compete with us out there." Then, Lars remembered the uniqueness of his world than the ones he saw from the movies. There were centaurs, fairies, djinns, wizards and many other mythological creatures living in hiding and ready to defend the world as they once did. Reminded of them made Lars slightly relieved and hopeful, that at least this world has a fighting chance. Still, Lars wished he could do more himself. He wanted to be out there defending the world but at the moment, La Shania Mirepa needed him and his Scion comrades more. Hence, Lars just smiled and nodded along as Rachelia summed it out best for everyone.

Although she was exhausted, the light in her eyes shone like stars. I was captivated by the starlight in that girl's eyes. I watched her put her headpiece back on, then continued interacting with passing customers. As the mall was about to close, she suddenly walked up to me and gave me a lollipop. I took it anyway, and instinctively peeled away the brightly colored wrapper. The weather was hot, so the lollipop had melted a little, yet it still had the usual cheap taste as it hit my tongue. It was cloyingly sweet, yet strangely intoxicating.

When I regained consciousness, I was standing in an entirely new world. A familiar male voice echoed beside me. “Thank you, Olivia. It’s thanks to you that we can continue our experiment. We admire your kindness, your forgiveness, and your calmness. We formally invite you to become an interdimensional traveler. As your reward, you will be able to travel across different worlds and live different lives. None of your emotions will ever be punished by the System.” The next second, a communication screen appeared in front of me, and I was successfully connected.

He replied. " That is huge, this still feels like a movie to me. These things only happen in movies." I muttered. "Movies tell real-life stories in humorous ways. Yours is to find it." He replied, " Do you need another?" He asked and I shook my head. " Are there other things that seem unreal to you in movies?" I scoffed, " Like supernaturals, vampires, werewolves, witches, elves and the rest. Total balderdash." I chuckled and stopped laughing when I saw his countenance.

It gestured—or the code lines around its hands flared in a way that communicated the same. In the air between us, a ripple opened. Two branching streams of imagery unfolded like tangled holographic trees. On one side: the scenarios it had already shown. Corvin human and whole in some hospital room. Jax with his family. Maria is alive. My parents with my book. On the other: worlds. Endless worlds. A warped graveyard. A darker arena city. A carnival with sharper teeth. New environments I didn’t recognize yet—icy wastelands, burning towers, oceans full of reaching hands.

But they weren’t always that way. Dead Worlds were worlds that served the stage for battles amongst the gods. These were worlds that were once thriving and brimming with life, but had been destroyed after constantly hosting the wars of powerful gods and Origin Artefacts. These were worlds that failed to survive during the Chaotic Era. One of these worlds was Alr. Alr was more desolate than any other world in the universe. There wasn’t a patch of grass or a well of water in the entire planet. It was the true definition of the word barren.

It was a domestic scene frozen in time, a reminder of the life they had almost touched. ​The "hood days" were over. The mist was rising, and the Jackals were looking. The war was followed them to the heights, and as the heavy steel doors of the vault hissed shut, Vivienne realized that peace wasn't a place you found—it was a territory you had to defend until the very end.
