The doctor asked me as I laid on my back on the bed. I nodded my head and searched for Jake hands, he wasn't far from me so I took his hands in mine in a form of support strength. "What do you see." The doctor asked me. He was standing on my left side. "I can only see darkness but sometimes light flashes through my eyes." I nervously replied. I started experiencing the flashes of light when I was eleven years but I kept it to my self today that I was asked. All this while my eyes where tightly closed.

Everything is becoming dark or maybe it's just my consciousness shutting me out and a very peculiar image flashes before my eyes over and over again before my consciousness completely shut me out. "Mamma?"

My limbs turned heavy and my vision blurred. The last thing I saw before I blacked out were those green eyes. Where had I seen them before?.

' My tears made my vision blurred and I quickly excused myself. I made do with a quiet room away from the hall and I bursted into tears almost immediately. I cried so much I felt my temperature rise, I wanted to stop but the tears wouldn't stop no matter how hard I tried. Suddenly I felt a headache, like my head was about to burst. I could see flashes of lights and images of people, a woman on her knees balling her eyes out at a man walking away from her without looking back.

The sight sent a jolt through my body, and almost immediately, the flashes started again. I froze, my hands clutching the edge of a nearby table for steadying. Pain in my head grew, and the world seemed to blur as images flooded my mind. The same as before, visions of life I knew not, people I could not place, and feelings that did not belong to me. My breathing quickened, my chest tightening as the flashes overwhelmed me.

If I think about it, it sounds like giving birth; I think. “I feel funny.” I told everyone, looking at my hands. Alonso said, “What do you mean, little one?” I opened and closed my eyes many times and said, “Is it normal for me to see flashes of lights?” Mom frowned and said, “Eh, not that I remember. Did anyone see flashes of lights in your first shift?” Everyone shook their heads in denial. “Mother? Mom, where are you?” I said, panicking. “Here I am, Maddie. Don’t you see me?”

He asked with an arched eyebrow. I was staring at him when an image of his darkened face flashed before my eyes. It was so sudden, it felt as though bright light flashed over my eyes. I blinked and averted my gaze. "No!" I said to myself within. I couldn't tell him—and that was for a million reasons. I left for the day and I don't know why but I could not erase that moment when Mr.Grantham was starring at me I don't know if he was actually doing that or I was just illustrating things. I could not forget his eyes looking at me. I know this will sound crazy but I feel like he is still watching me.
