He simply holds me, rubs my arms, back and sometimes runs his fingers through my hair just to be touching me more intimately, and I can’t get enough. We’re halfway through our movie when my phone begins to ring. It’s an unknown number, telling me it’s one of my brothers calling me. “Can you pause this? I think it’s either Jake or Ace,” I request. As soon as the movie is paused, I answer. “Hello?”

I curled up on the couch, pulled a blanket over my knees, and scrolled through N*****x. Thankfully, Jamal hasn’t logged me out of his N*****x yet. A movie. That’s all I needed. Just one movie to forget everything BZZZ. BZZZ. BZZZ.BZZZ.BZZZ. I groaned, reaching blindly for the phone. “Goddammit, Jamal, stop—” But it wasn’t his name on the screen this time. Unknown Number. “ Now, who could this be?” My thumb hovered. And then I picked up. Silence. And then, that voice. That soothing voice. “Hey, princess.”

Now I know why the title of the anime is Your Name. I turned off the television. That was a good movie. My heart wants to watch more but eyes don't want it anymore. My eyes are hurt because of the radiation that the television is emitting. I can't stand to watch another movie. I was about to get my phone when the doorbell rings. I think that is Miss Fatima.

Why would someone ask to invest in a movie as soon as he showed up? The most important thing was… he didn’t know Nicholas at all! He looked awkward as he was coming up with all excuses not to call. Zephyr chucked, took out his phone, called a number, and put it on speaker. The phone was connected quickly. Nicholas’ loud voice came from the other side. “Yo, why are you calling?” “I heard you have a big movie called The Soul of the Mountain and River coming up?” “What? You want a piece of it?”

I was so close to him that I saw the caller ID and the photo on it, it was a photo of three young boys together, and the name on the screen said “BEN” My entire body went cold. The oldest of three from New York with a beautiful physique, charming smirk, a sense of humor, and low alcohol tolerance. Oh, fuck. He ignored the phone call and apologized for it, I stumbled my words but managed to say, “I - I completely forgot to ask what your name was?” “Eli.”

Nina I was watching a movie when Zoe’s call flashed across my screen. I hate it when I'm disturbed while watching a movie, especially my favorite, MY DEMON. This is a popular Korean movie that just came out, and I'm literally glued to my phone. A second later, she called again. And again. With an irritated sigh, I finally answered. “Hey, you finally picked, asshole,” Zoe’s voice burst through the speaker. I rolled my eyes. “Why are you calling? I’m watching a movie, and you know how much I hate interruptions.”

My phone started to ring, With the name reserved for only one person flashing against the screen, 'Manipulative Asshole. Ferrara was calling.

I just stood there, frozen, staring at the phone. The girl paused, then said, a little thrown, "Liam? You there?" That voice—I knew it. It was Nina. Eighteen. Memories slammed into me like a wave. Twelve years ago, around this time, Nina called to tell me she was in love. I forced the panic down. My voice came out dry. "What do you want with Liam?" She hesitated. "Who is this?" I dodged it. "You're calling Liam Lambert... planning to confess, right?"

“Who is this?” I began to hear laboured breathing like the caller had some kind of lung disease. I removed the phone from my ear and looked at the number. It started with +374, that's another country code. “Who is this?” I demanded louder. “You can't hide forever, Vittoria Russo,” My breath caught in my throat as I heard the voice, it was the same one that called me before. Whoever it was, they knew my true identity. Fuck?

I put the phone to my ear and it felt like he was making love to it through the phone, speaking to me in such a way. “Yes.” “You're a good girl.” I didn't even know what to say, until he spoke again. He was on normal call, not video call, if not I wanted to see him. “Turn off the lights.” I got out of bed and did just that. “Lie down and drop the phone, just listen to me.” I laid perfectly down, my chest heaving in anticipation. I was literally burning inside. All my emotions were barely contained. “Raise your stupid short dress up and take off your thong.”
