I narrowed my eyes as I shot him a sarcastic smile, “You really love seeing me annoyed, huh?” He chuckled, shaking his head with a grin, “You really are something, Kathrina.” “Yeah, you bring out the annoyance in me,” I uttered sarcastically, putting up air quotes in annoyance for emphasis. “Okay, sorry. Sorry.” I couldn’t help but roll my eyes again—he was still laughing, and I don’t even know why he finds me being annoyed funny! The last time I checked, I look pretty scary when I’m annoyed. Plus, he was just purposely doing it, it was definitely pissing me off.

It was a sound completely devoid of humor - harsh, bitter, and slightly unhinged. The laughter echoed through the empty apartment, bouncing off bare walls and creating an eerie, hollow effect. "Good," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm and pain. "Very good, Aria. You're really something special, aren't you?"

Sarcasm laced every single word. Harlow let out an uneasy laugh; she had to agree, he was the most harmful person she'd ever met, but it wasn't like Harlow could do anything about it, at least she had thought that until now. "Yeah, a real keeper. Don't you think?" Harlow replied. "Oh, most certainly." With her own form of sarcasm, Mia said, "When did the dreams start?"

Crayvin's brows furrow as he retorts, "Does your ass ever get jealous of the amount of shit that comes out of your mouth?" I smirk, trying to cover my irritation, but I'm pretty much translucent. He probably knows how much he irritates me. "Nope, it's just sarcasm, honey," I say with my innocent voice, before adding, "But I apologize. The air was filled with their laughter as they retold splendidly outrageous and laugh inducing anecdotes. Sara launched the story, but with a dash of sweetness in her voice. “Austin presented me with a cup of coffee only for it to trip and spill all over my notes as if I am its clumsy oaf.” Austin interjected, he was doubtlessly sarcastic. “Of course no one could believe that Sara was reliable enough to observe a cup of coffee coming around.” Sara dodged with a smile that would not disappear from her face. “I don’t belittle your lack of intelligence; such is the case with some of the people.”

I watch a few of them laugh hysterically at something they said. "That's all because of you. You brought everyone together with your bonfire idea." He says. "You've got a little Yoghurt on your mouth." "It's ice cream." "Oh, it matters." Sarcasm drips from his tone. I wipe my mouth with the back of my palms. "Sarcasm ruins the image, you know." He whips his head in my direction for an instant. "What image?" "You trying to be less of an asshole." "Is that what you think I'm doing?"

Ordering the servants around. "Of course it's you, who could I be speaking to if not you? The furnitures or the roof? Or is there someone else in this to I haven't noticed?" He giggled at his sarcasm. He seemed comfortable and in a good mood. He looked interested in speaking with me, he uses sarcasm only whenever I had done something wrong and he wants to punish me. His sarcasm this time was filled with positive aura. He was speaking like this had always been the way we interact with each other.

His eyes flicked to mine and clearly saw what was registered in my face. "What's bothering you?" He asked. Mom looked between the two of us confused. "Is something the matter sweetheart?" She said anxiously. Mom never did understand our weird way of communicating, but then again dad and I always had to tell mom when we were telling a joke; otherwise she wouldn't get it. And sarcasm was completely lost on her, it was a wonder how she hadn't killed either of us so far, simply out of frustration.
