I ask. Something chirps in the woods, but it doesn't sound like a bird. It's a noise unlike anything I've ever heard, and it sends goosebumps along my arms. "You hear that?" I ask. The goblin points at the door. "I think he's inviting us inside his home." I crouch on the ground to get closer to his eye level. "I'm sorry, buddy. We can't fit through there. We're too big. Are you afraid of something in the woods? Is there something dangerous out there?"

I’m freaking out. Visible bumps crawl along my skin. My eyes fly to the raised window that doesn’t look broken. Outside my window is calm and almost dark. The lonely lane has no one on it, just a bushy walkway and the scary morning silence. The sound of crickets squeaking, coupled with the distant hollow of the wind on my window, makes me stop to breathe. Bumps grow thicker on my skin. I’m suddenly hearing footsteps. Soft. Dangerous. My head is pounding. I don’t try to figure out if it’s all in my head. I swiftly reach for the curtain and pull it down.

His attention is still on his phone. Hearing his voice brought fear into my heart. I froze literally. And a cold chill of horripilation runs over me as fear and panic set in. The goosebumps were much and this time it is terrific since it isn't born out of cold, but rather fear. I can feel my heart throbbing louder and more rapidly than its normal beat. “I… I couldn't find a cab.” I stammered out. “Exactly what I expected. You always have an excuse. Always at all times something to justify your….” His words hang as he turns to me.

My skin is goosebumping all over with apprehensive shivers. I listen hard, cocking my head to the side so I'm aiming for noise at the window, and flinch when instead, hushed voices along the hall give me a jump scare. I pause, hold my breath, and strain to hear, making out two low voices probably saying goodnbight and stiffen all over in anticipation. Heart pounding so hard through my chest that I am sure everyone can hear it, and my ribs are vibrating with the effort of containing it.

Goosebumps appear on my hands and all my neck baby hair stands in ovation as I felt his warm yet irritating breath fan against my cheek. Tears begin to form in my eyes and my heart rate increases. He leans and buries his nose in my neck, he sniffs me intensely before he uses his tongue to lick my neck. I cringe at the disgusting feel of his tongue on my skin. It makes me want to punch him in the face so hard that he wouldn’t do that again. "Stop! I said stop!" I scream as tears roll down my face.

And it's kind of impossible for me to not notice this kind of big thing when it was placed in this area. I suddenly step back when I heard as if someone is breathing in front of me. And I did not only hear its sound but my hands also felt the warm air as if someone breathing touched my skin. What the heck! Did this stuffed toy has a life? Impossible! Damn! I feel goosebumps all over my body. My heart started to beat faster. I'm scared. I'm always scared every time a brownout happened that's why my mother bought a generator so we can use it during a brownout. But I am especially scared now because of the thing that I just touched.

My fingers crawling to my ears, pull the ear buds out quickly as my breathing pulls up lightly. My heart, once dancing with joy, now shuddered with fear, and my body instinctively tensed, a cold rush replacing the warmth within. The blood coursing through my veins seemed to turn icy as the air around me thickened with an unsettling tension. A disconcerting symphony echoed in the form of creepy, scary footsteps, their ominous rhythm making its way over dry, crunchy leaves.

She was already getting some awful vibes back then and now this happened. "Man! I got chills." Alex pulled her jacket from one of her hands while carrying her phone on the other. She switched on her phone's flashlight and showed the goosebumps she just got. "Felix boi! Do you see that? Look! Look!" She quickly added, bringing forth her hand towards him. "I can see it, Sister Alex," he answered back softly. Even though Felix wasn't frightened at all, he couldn't help but agree that he did get some cold creeps when he heard that sound. In his case, it wasn't because of the word it said but because of the voice it had.

And the air shifts as though someone just walked into the room. Like the loom itself is holding its breath, watching me eagerly. Goosebumps crawl along my spine. It’s not drive by fear, but comes from something that feels an awful lot like pleasure. And when I whisper, “I’m listening,” this time, they don’t just answer. They purr.

The small hairs on my body rose as I felt chills all over. My heart beat faster, and I couldn’t help but feel regret. Even if I was given five guts, I shouldn't have entered this place. However, now it’s too late. I could only grit my teeth and clenched my fist tightly as I calmed myself. Now is not the time to cower. Suddenly, the wind howled like wolves, and a loud snort echoed. I felt goosebumps when the colossal monster let out a terrifying screech. Oh no, it’s over! This monster is powerful and I don’t think I’m its opponent!
