Tonight, she needed answers that lived beyond reason. At the base of the final stair, she found the heavy door. She pushed it open slowly, the hinges creaking like a groan from the earth itself. Inside, the librarian was waiting. He was impossibly old — his hair long and white as bone, his eyes dim but alert. His name was Eldritch, the keeper of the archives, said to have served three Alphas before Kilian. He didn’t seem surprised to see her. “I wondered when you’d come,” he rasped, his voice echoing softly off the stone. “They always come when the world begins to burn.”

I explained to him. “Fine! Let’s get to work.” Jacob exclaimed, and I loved the rush. After discussing more important matters with Genelia and Fiarra, I hit the library and looked for the books of my use. There were over ten thousand books but how will I find the one for me? “May i help you?” a voice healed behind my ear and I screamed in fear. “Who are you?” I asked while gasping for air. “Sorry, I scared you, Last Alpha! I am the librarian here.” a weird-looking dwarf said.

He can't sleep at all and is not planning to drug himself to sleep like Renata and Alexa did. The library was thick with old mahogany and shelves full of well-worn books long held in high esteem. He traversed between the bookcases that looked like they could have reached to touch the azure ceiling. In spotting a volume, the sound of somebody’s presence startled Dionysus. There, standing tall with his blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, was Gilbert Gardier. He was every inch the lord of a library, self-possessed but authoritative, standing tall in posture with the book clasped before him and his reading glasses.

I closed my eyes so I could try to get a well deserved rest. "We're here," Jayden announced some time later. I snapped out of my nap and got out of the car. Walking into the public library, I noticed it was really quiet. As if very few people were around. I walked about for a while, occasionally pulling books out of the shelves. "Welcome to the Silent Crypt now known as the public library. How may I help you?" Someone said from beside me. I yelped and jumped a bit as I looked at the lady beside me. She looked like she wasn't more than 17 yet dressed like a goth girl.

But Lena continued curiously exploring, fully desiring to become a part of Renz's private world, at least for a few moments. Lena had already seen the four libraries of Schloss Wolfenbarger, but Lena thought that Renz's lounge could have been considered a small fifth. There were several tall bookcases, neatly stacked with large volumes and ledgers. Lena briefly scanned the titles, surprised by the names that had been deemed worthy of Renz's private collection. There were several that she knew well with from the hours she stole reading at Sterling Manor, such as Shakespeare and Dante, and illuminated prints of William Blake. A slow smile lights up her face and she nods, preening lightly, “Well, I was going to say congratulations, on the Moon Jubilee. It was spectacular, and there’s really no other word for it.” I smile indulgently, “Thank you very much. I’m glad everyone enjoyed it.” She nods and looks away, this time with a slight blush coloring her cheeks, “I also wanted to ask if I could help you with what you’re looking for. Is it a work of fiction or some bit of pack history? I’m the assistant librarian, and we barely get anyone in the library lately, except for the random few of course.” I heave a breath of relief when I hear that because hells, I was starting to get a little bit frustrated.
