Hazel's POV Zion's gaze flickered with a mixture of guilt and fear as he met my gaze. "Because I know the dangers that lurk within the darkness," he confessed, his voice barely more than a whisper. "I have seen what happens when mortals meddle with forces beyond their comprehension."

But the truth is scarier than any other ghost which exists. After spending his time with his friends, Zion came back home to his condo. He felt tired. He went out to forget everything but as soon as he lay down and looked at the space, his mind drifted back to Harriet. He was still getting the hang of them, but he was excited. He had the same Precoza abilities that Imeela had. He was also able to cast and could emit electricity from his body. Enzo scoffed before taking a deep breath. "Okay, we are here," Zion said, stopping the car in from of a large and luxurious white mansion. In front of the mansion, stood a large golden water fountain, the fountain gave the hours a powerful and regal aura, making it look like a palace. "Time to see what that fool is doing," Zion said as he hopped out of the car.

She paused and said softly, "The ghost house." Zac frowned. "Stay away from that place." "Is there a ghost inside it? For real?" Hazel's big black eyes blinked twice, full of curiosity. "Ghosts only exist in people's hearts," Zac said with a faint smile. "Have you ever been to that place?" Hazel lay down on the sofa and put her head on his lap. I pause just inside the doorway when I notice the living room lights are still off. Too dark. Too quiet. A strange sound reaches my ears, and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as fear grips me. My breath slows without me telling it to. Slowly, I step into the living room, where I see Zion leaning casually against the wall, his profile barely illuminated by the streetlights bleeding through the window. My stomach drops. Hard. My heart pounds loudly in my chest. “How did you get in here?” I ask, my voice trembling slightly.

While it wasn't a terrible idea, I was afraid. "You guys go ahead; I must get back to my mom." Zion grabbed my hand. "You'll get caught; we must remain together." I reluctantly followed them to the alpha's huge mansion, a stunning structure of glass and chandeliers. A wolf-headed fountain beautified the circular driveway, leaving me in awe. We continued to sneak through the darkness and watch the elegantly dressed partygoers, who raised their wine glasses in toasts. "Fucking bastards. They don't even have a care for this world," Zion murmured under his breath.

Great. “I think they forgot to add the sign that says definitely not cursed or haunted,” Vivienne muttered as she eyed the row of identical, dilapidated homes with their eyeless windows where nothing aside from the darkness watched her right back. “Uh-uh. No way. I’ve seen movies. I’ve watched The Blair Witch Project and Children of the Corn. This is every super haunted town in a Hollywood production. Nope.”

She gave the man a sharp once-over, then said evenly, "Other than this house, everything around here belongs to me. Don't step foot into my territory. If you do, I'll kill you." She turned on her heel, ready to head for the last villa at the far end. But the man suddenly called after her. "Don't go in there! There are man-eating zombies inside!" Hayley stopped mid-step and glanced back. "How do you know?" "I saw them." His voice was firm. "Villa Ten had a party the other night. A bunch of kids stayed up all night drinking and messing around. Around dawn, we heard screams. A lot of them ran out bleeding, but none of them made it far. They were all dragged down and torn apart."
