As she looked around in hopes of finding something she looked at a book that said, “Diana.” Ashley picked the book and read through the contents, the book was about the moon goddess who was named Diana. It told the detail about the moon goddess, about her birth and her powers and her creation. About the moonstone. And there was a line that caught her attention. “A piece of my heart will always be by my children’s side, no matter where they are.” Ashley blinked as she stared at the line for a few seconds. “Ashley., come here I got something.” Dawn spoke and Ashley blinked coming out of her trance.

June looked through the doors and gasped. The inside of the Moon was not made of stone it was a forest of pulsing organs. Lungs big as skyscrapers moved up and down pumping green gas into the air. Miles of nerves hung from the ceiling like long hair. In the center of everything sat the Core, a green heart that looked like a brain. "Welcome to the New World " the voice of Arthur Benson boomed, coming from the walls and the air they breathed.

Her lungs burn, and the branches tear at her jacket, but she doesn't stop until the sound of the rogue’s sneezing is far behind her. The forest begins to shift. The oaks give way to trees with white bark that glows faintly in the dark. These are the Moon-Trees. She is close. The ground slopes downward into a natural bowl. In the center stands the Heart-Tree. It is the most beautiful and terrifying thing Juniper has ever seen. Its trunk is wide enough to house a room, and its branches reach up like silver veins toward the moon. And there, nestled in a knot of wood at the center of the trunk, is the Moon-Stone. It glows with a soft, pulsing violet light.

“I’m assuming you didn’t get far into this when you were in my office.” I didn't. Looking back at the book, he turns several pages, with so much ease until he finds what he’s looking for. The page contains unusual, detailed drawings of human-like anatomies, each figure marked with different-sized spheres glowing at their centers. “These,” he says, pointing with a long finger, “are the moon hearts buried in the core of almost every werewolf. I like to call them moon balls.” A sad, wry smile touches his lips as he says it.

“I haven’t seen a single thing.” “Because Star is taking up all your headspace.
