How Long Should Novel Chapters Be Novels & Stories

+Don't worry, this was free to open!!+ I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who followed along with this story. It took a great deal of time to plot, plan, and execute—far more time than I had expected, but I enjoyed it immensely. I learned a lot from this first web novel and feel more prepared for my next one. My goal for the next book is to post one chapter every day at a minimum, aside from possibly a few weekends here and there.

Don wrote the last chapter across December. Not the full December — the last chapter was not a long piece of writing in the word-count sense. The essays had varied in length: the Thessaloniki piece had been the longest, running to nearly eight thousand words, because the argument about the encounter required the full architecture of the thesis, the counter-thesis, and the synthesis that Don had arrived at in the museum's upper gallery. The Norway piece had been shorter — five thousand words — because the argument about darkness was more concentrated, more dependent on the quality of the specific experience rather than the elaboration of a multi-part claim. "Just what do you mean? What's wrong with that book? Because it contains adult content? Of course, we are more than old enough to read stories like that. You are too carried away, Aiden!" "You still don't understand either? Haven't I often told you?" "I know I know, but I bet you didn't read that story until the next chapter, did you?" "I've only read 15 chapters." "Well, that's your fault, you've only read fifteen chapters, but you've already sentenced the story to bad. What can a novel show in the first 15 chapters, which may only contain openings and character introductions?" Finally, after the inevitable turn of events the past days had brought upon him, he got himself back to doing what he loved. In general, writing one chapter takes a day long or a night long if you're centered at your focal point, but the tenth chapter had already taken four disrupted nights in the process, although by now, after pushing too hard to concentrate, he was already typing the last sentence of the last paragraph. "At last, finally done" Alleviation hit the right spot as he pressed the period. "That's it for now" He told himself, he saved the document, shut the computer down then surrendered to sleep.

But sometimes, it's depressing to think I cant never be enough for this field. I leaned on my chair and stared at the ceiling as I clicked the last word of the draft. I don't know if I should continue this. I don't have a proper outline and I can only write a thousand words per chapter which is unusual of me because I usually write three to four thousand words per chapter. I just couldn't find the write words to exprss how I feel. Or maybe, no words could define the thoughts I want to substantiate.

Author's note. Happy 60 Chapter Guys!!!! I feel so happy and elated. You know, when I started writing, I was planning to write only 15 chapters since I just wanted to write about my Friend who died so I could feel a little comforted that she's in a better place. But well as I wrote I continued to get inspiration so now I have decided that I am going to write 150 chapters. Volume 1: Chapter 1-50. Volume 2: Chapter 50-100.

and story is going off track and the chapters are so short. I apologize if you felt that way, but the story is on it's track and I can assure you that you'll find it all sensible at the end of the story. And I would glad and would like you to enjoy whatever is coming. As for short chapters, I did it for your own good. The long chapters demands more coins and I don't want my precious readers to have problems. Wishing you all a good health. (•‿•)

The story had to feel genuine and I waited until I knew it was perfect and respectful enough to write. 2. I did not know how I was going to write it. I didn't know if I wanted it to be a poem, a 50 page book, a novel, or whatever. I knew I had a message I wanted to tell, but I wanted to make the story interesting as well. So I decided to turn it into a novella, because it was not too long and it was not too short. It was the perfect length for me to create my story.

Most have asked how long the book will be. My editor and I are still discussing it, but it should be around 300 chapters because it will have Zane and Ian's story incorporated.
