I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be.

I've wanted to keep these chapters in short bursts like I did with Nikolai and Dimitri's book, but I am finding that there's just too much happening with Umiko and Fenriz that it is impossible to keep the chapters short. In November of the fifty-fifth year, she writes the third book's hardest chapter. She has been circling it for two years. She knew, when she found the argument sentence, that this chapter was what the argument pointed toward. She has written around it — the structure chapters, the methodology chapters, the case studies, the transmission argument, the brief-as-life-record argument. All of them are true and all of them are complete. This chapter is the one that required the longest approach.

Also, I was able to request to make the next three chapters into one, which is Chapter 114, so CH 114 will cost more than usual, but it's three chapters long, so it's worth it.
