How To Find Books At The Library Novels & Stories

I’m screwed. The time is ticking and five minutes in the library and I’ve only scanned thirty books that are all unrelated to destiny. I have never held that book nor seen it but based on what my parents said, it looks magical. Everything in this library looked so ordinary! I spent another five minutes scanning the back of the first shelf I approached before I ran to the second shelf. This is hopeless, one of the stupid ideas I’ve had in a while. Curse that vampire! There’s got to be a way to find it...

Just one teeny tiny day. The night before the field trip, I was putting together the packets for the scavenger hunt in the kids’ section of the library. It was a simple list that would help them understand how the library’s sorting system worked. I’d already called ahead and learned that very young children’s books were marked with shapes of animals and fruits to help non-readers find the kinds of books they liked. The hunt only had a few tasks like “find a book about a bear” and “find a book about a princess.” Hopefully, it would show the students how fun a library could be. I was finishing up the last of my prep work when my phone rang.

Dory that I have things to do, and get back after an hour. I’m in the hallway towards the library when I realize that I don’t know where I should find him inside this colossal library. The library has three floors, huge shelves, a pile of glossy books in different colors, wooden desks, and chairs, and that shiny tiled floors. I guessed I need to try my luck. Wishin’, I can find him.

I was too eager to wait around for whoever it was that sat here to come back, so I ventured deeper into the library. I looked around, searching closely at the history, laws, and structures of the empire and taking one book for every topic. By the time I had finished looking around the first floor, I had about five books with me. Five gigantic books that I was struggling to hold in my arms. “The lord said the book is on the second floor!” Someone whispered and yelled from somewhere close to me, and I looked around. Finding no one, I shook my head and turned to leave while also resisting the urge to check out the second floor.

With a polite smile, she responded, "Hello. How may I assist you?" Curiosity gleaming in his eyes, he inquired, "Is this a place where one can find a vast array of books to delve into?" Vivian couldn't help but inwardly question if he had somehow missed the vast collection of books surrounding them. However, she maintained her composure and replied with polite professionalism, "Certainly! This library offers a wide variety of books to suit all tastes and interests. And the best part is, they are all available for free reading. If you possess a library card, you can even borrow books to enjoy at home."

Whatever lurked in the shadows could wait—I wasn’t leaving without what I came for. Ignoring the gnawing tension in my gut, I moved deeper into the rows of towering shelves. The farther I walked, the more overwhelming the task became. So many books. Too many categories. It felt as though I was searching for a needle in a hay sack. Thirty minutes later, I was deep into the library. My breath hitched in my throat when I finally found the category for prophecies and premonitions. It was huge. Biting my lower lip, I crouched, starting from the bottom of the first shelf.

Chapter 11: Meeting David Faith’s P.O.V Like Debby had mentioned, the library wasn’t all that hard to find. And it was humongous! At this time of the day, there weren’t many students inside, or perhaps I wasn’t seeing everyone since the place was huge. Waving a ‘hello’ to the librarian as I showed her my student ID to get inside, I went straight for the isle that had the books I needed to look into in order to finish my homework.

I opened old books, sneezed because of the dust they had collected, and searched all the aisles making sure not to skip one but I still did not find it. I walked to the nearest seat and sat there. I shut my eyes and took a minute to collect myself. My hands were hurting from lifting the heavy books in some of the aisles. I searched every hiding spot I could think of but I still did not find the book. “Where is it? Where is the book?” I took deep breaths and checked the time. I winced, I had missed my next class,” I walked to a librarian and asked, “Excuse me. Did anyone check out a book recently?”

Instead of asking for it, I will go find it. I pushed the door to Augustine's library open and stepped inside, gently closing it behind me. The room was dark, but I found the light switch and flicked it on, illuminating the bookshelves that lined the walls. I started searching through the books, determined to find what I was looking for.

“That’s what I’m afraid of.” We walk into the library hand in hand and Cameron smiles like the cat that got the cream. “What’s wrong with you? You’re acting creepy.” I smirk. He winks. “I am creepy.” He walks up to the reception desk. “Hello, I want to search for some records. How do I do that?” he asks the lady. “Just go to computer twenty-two, type into the search bar what records you are looking up, and it will search for you.” “Thank you.” He smiles and we walk to the station where all the computers are.
