His Don His Damnation

His Don His Damnation

I laugh, hoisting him up and placing him on my knee. "Better?" He nods. "We're going to take it very slow, okay?" Damon glances at the board, picking up the intricately carved pieces one by one. "Why are they all shapes?" "Because each one does something different. You have to be able to tell them apart." He sets the piece aside and I advance a pawn to the middle of the board. "That is a pawn. It moves forward one square per move. Unless it's that pawn's first move because then, it can move one or two squares."

Luna's Rebirth

Luna's Rebirth

Her grandmother explained it to her. "How about you, Luna? Can you tell me how chess is similar to life? Because if you know how to internalize its comparison to life, maybe you are able to feel encouraged." She asks Luna. "Honestly grandmother, I still do not have many takeaways about this game. But as you have said earlier, life takes patience and strategy, much like a game of chess. To advance in the game, it also takes the careful movement of numerous pieces, as well as the occasional sacrifice of a knight, rook, pawn or even the queen. Similar to how each component within us has a certain function, each piece on the chessboard has a distinct function." Luna replied.

Rogue Alpha and His Hybrid Mate

Rogue Alpha and His Hybrid Mate

the game master stated. "Chess is a game played between two opponents on opposite sides of a board containing 64 squares of alternating colors. Each player has 16 pieces: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights, and 8 pawns. The goal of the game is to checkmate the other king. Checkmate happens when the king is in a position to be captured and cannot escape from capture" the explanation seemed vague to her "I will now explain each piece to you; Pawns move one square forward in a straight line. They cannot move horizontally, diagonally or backwards.

MINE TO OWN

MINE TO OWN

almost human and more dangerous because he made Zane’s body react and his mind wonder—who was the man behind the monster? Back in his room, Zane found another envelope. Smaller. Neater. Inside? A chess piece. A black knight. No note. No signature. Just implication. Zane held it between his fingers. They weren’t watching anymore. They were playing. And he was on the board.

The Ultimatum Wife

The Ultimatum Wife

The way the body reacted when a truth finally stepped out of the dark. She tapped the notification. The screen opened to a single image. Not recent. Not dramatic. A photograph of a chessboard. Midgame. Black pieces. White pieces. A very specific configuration.

A Game Of Chess

A Game Of Chess

I stood up as I picked the white piece of chess for all to see. “This is King Philip, these pawns, rook and knight are his soldiers, the bishops are his decoys and his queen is his throne.” I stood up and pointed at the black king. “And only this king is Westoros. Let me teach you something important, pride comes before a fall. You may not be aware but Philip is a very desperate man that can sacrifice all his pieces to protect his king and queen. If you think your winning then he is winning.” I said as I scattered all the white pawns.

Love Me. Hate Me.

Love Me. Hate Me.

She stood behind the chair where the crystal chessboard lays. “In the game of chess, the king is the most important piece yet as useless as an accessory... but the queen..." Sandra moved the queen piece. “The queen is the strongest piece, she gets to do almost everything, without her the king could be as good as crippled." “The knight though is the most controversial piece..." Sandra held the piece on her hand. “If the queen is blinded, the knight, could easily take her over. The irony... a knight killing a queen." She chuckled. “Now, this reminds of Julian Fernandez... he's no king, he's more of a knight..."

Fajra Meets the Alpha

Fajra Meets the Alpha

In the board game, chess. There are these two valuable pieces. That King and the Queen. These significant pieces are the powerful ones and the center of attention that they always have to protect. The King, as a gentleman, would always give his way to the Queen and let her stand in her own color. But behind it all, there’s this piece that is more valuable. The Rook. The rook contributes a lot when it comes to supporting the advancement of your pawns. And in the end, it does an effective job of cutting the opponent’s king in action.

SOLD TO THE RUTHLESS LYCAN KING

SOLD TO THE RUTHLESS LYCAN KING

Ariana's POV Kael picked up the white chess queen. He turned it over in his hand. It was carved from ivory, smooth with age. Someone had taken good care of it. This wasn't something a kidnapper had grabbed by chance. It had been left there on purpose. "Does it mean anything?" I asked. No one answered. Lord Blackwood stepped forward slowly. His eyes never left the chess piece. "It means he's finished waiting." Cassian frowned.

Ex-Husband, You Don't Own me

The chess pieces were made of jade, and the chessboard was carved from a fine white jade that was very smooth and pleasant. Danny was still young, so even though he was intelligent, playing chess was still difficult. Dexie sat with him on the carpet next to Luke and played chess. Danny was quiet and didn't talk much while playing. At first, he was unfamiliar with the game, but after two

007-M
Plot is good but the Author is lazy. Incorrect allocation of pronouns, reader ends up paying twice for a chapter 16 and 17 exactly the same), re-use of sentences scattered throughout the chapters and book, etc.
rosenie pultoo
Too bad the translation of this asian novel is messed up and the pronouns are mixed up constantly. The story is difficult to follow because of these faults. Too bad, it was interesting at first but I'm quitting. This app should really do something about the quality of some of these stories.
