It's dark fur and multiple tails shifting as he snorted. "Did you just summon a pokemon?" Hunter asked. I shot him a hard look and then started for the driveway, mentally calling Kastem to heel.

I froze, fuck… I wasn’t ready for this conversation, not here, not right now. I knew he already knew I was a Hunter, but I definitely wasn’t ready for him to bring it up. I found myself reaching towards my right thigh, and pulling my dress up enough to reveal my holster with my knife seated safely inside.
