It was unbelievable that Damian had just died like that. “Your messiah died in less than a week here. Couldn't last one fucking week!” he pressed on, angry at them for not trusting him. “Next time I tell you I'm capable of something, let me handle it. Okay?” he added before walking out. The two black scorpione men covered their heads in thought. They had gotten the news some minutes before Romano barged in and were still unable to process everything. Damian was supposed to be the messiah out of all these. Guess Romano was right after all. They were stuck with him.

I didn’t know how long I’d been standing there when Damian finally approached me, his face serious. “There’s an update,” Damian said carefully. I stopped pacing instantly. “Not from the doctors,” I said. It wasn’t a question. Damian nodded. “Your orders are in motion.” Earlier, I had been very clear. I had told Damian to track down every single man who had been at the warehouse—not just the ones who beat me, not just the ones who held Amara down, but every person who had stood there and watched it happen. No exceptions. No mercy.

This works and Damian is calm, ignoring the fat man in front of him. "Damian please can you continue telling me what you were saying?" Maya asked when the officer was out of sight. "I came home feeling frustrated and I ended up getting drunk," Damian paused and stared at Maya for a reaction but she just urged him to continue. "That's all I remember... I woke up the next morning with her beside me," Damian sighed, running his hands through his hair. "Trust me Wife, I'm innocent. I think someone is trying to frame me," Damian said dejectedly.

“What do you wanna do?” I clicked the safety on my gun and stuffed it into the back of my jeans. “I need to think about it.” Damien continued to stare at me, like he had something to say. A full minute passed, and his gaze seemed to become more formidable. “I’m the one who tracked down every distributor. I’m the one who tailed all the guys. I’m the one who was out every night trying to get this shit done.” Like that was supposed to be enough to earn my forgiveness, he waited for me to acknowledge his sacrifice.

asked Damian annoyed . " I have the best team of investigators . I don't need yours . " said Adam . " Yeah , sure ! " said Damian with a noncaring expression . " Whoever it was behind this , it was determined to kill you . " said Adam with a serious tone . Damian looked at his father with a devilish smirk as he enjoyed the situation . " If he is determined to kill me then let him come . I can't wait to smash his head . " said Damian with a threatening smirk .

For several seconds he couldn't speak. Michael noticed. "You're not surprised." Damian slowly shook his head. "No." The word came out barely above a whisper. Michael leaned forward. "Tell me." Damian closed his eyes briefly. Then looked up. "The night I was arrested..." His voice hardened. "...I wasn't investigating Luca." Michael frowned. "What do you mean?" Damian's gaze darkened. "I was trying to find out who killed Victor Salazar." The room fell completely silent. Because suddenly the case wasn't about stolen money anymore.

"It’s over. The old man in the wheelchair? He’s already given the police the recording. Your father’s partners are being arrested at this very moment. There is no one left to protect you." Damien’s hand shook. The glass pricked my skin, and I felt a tiny drop of blood trickle down my side. "They can't arrest me," Damien whispered, more to himself than to us. "I’m a Walton. I'm Reyes. I own this city." "You own nothing," I said, my voice cold and hard. "You are a thief and a murderer's son. And today, you are a loser." With a sudden, violent movement, I slammed my heel down onto Damien’s foot with all my weight. At the same time, I leaned forward and bit his arm as hard as I could.

He was angry because the day that was supposed to be one of the happiest days of their lives was turned into a blood bath. He lost fifteen of his warriors and now his mate was unconscious. He will find a way to defeat the demon king. That was a promise he will keep even if it costs him his life. **** It was late at night when he finished his meetings. His mother left few minutes after he entered. Damian stripped out of his clothes and went to take a shower. He came back when he was done and sat down on the bed.

Niko POV: Well, I feel confident saying that Pixel has learned a valuable lesson tonight. I smiled proudly as I wiped the blood from my hands. He will never so much as look or drive anywhere near Justice again, and he also will not ever try to collect owed debts from family members...the children of the adult addicts specifically. He should never have done that in the first place. I doubt he'll front anyone again after tonight. I left Dale to deal with him with strict orders to keep him alive. He is one of my best sellers after all, so I don't want to have to replace him.

No one dared. Damian washed Victor’s and Seraphine’s blood from his hands in the courtyard basin, the water turning pink, then red, then black. He didn’t look up once. Not even when Nathan passed nearby. Not even when Ivy touched his shoulder in quiet solidarity. Not even when Maria, broken and rigid but unbowed, whispered: “Thank you.” Damian didn’t respond. He couldn’t. Because the truth was carved into every trembling line of his posture: He had taken justice.
