(JO POV) Watching Dane embrace Deirk before leaving struck a chord with me. Their once guarded open display of camaraderie and affection now seemed natural in my presence. As I sat there, lost in my thoughts, Deirk's voice broke through my reverie. "I don't have all of Dane's talents, so breaking into your brain is off the table for me... You'll actually have to tell me what's on your mind." Caught off guard, I opened up. "I'm just starting to wrap my head around the whole vampirism thing, and now there's this whole organized crime world that Dane's a part of. It feels like I'm always playing catch-up."

Damon asks Daniel. “Well, first of all I woukd just like to say I told you so and I was right all along.” Daniel tells Damon. “Yes Daniel you were right, now can you tell me what the problem is?” Damon asks as he let's out a frustrated sigh. “Two you were rights in one week, I'm not worthy.” Daniel says as he let's out a fake gasp and puts a hand on his chest and It's funny but I can tell that Damon is getting frustrated.

Sophie sat in the corner, legs curled beneath her, watching me like a hawk—an odd comfort in the chaos. This was it. We were going to live. Global stream. No edits. No delays. It wasn’t just an interview—it was a digital reckoning. “Thirty seconds,” someone called out. I could feel my heart thudding in my throat. My palms were slick. My spine was rigid. But my mind? Clear. Finding the contact I was searching for I tapped on the call icon and listened to it ring. “Hi Vi, girlfriend, how are you enjoying your vacation” Daniel’s voice rang at the other end. “It's been terrible. How are things going? Will I be able to return soon?” I asked, holding my breath. "Things aren’t good here," he’d muttered. "There's no say in whether you stay as an intern. It’s like they’ve already made up their minds... They won’t choose someone who isn’t a doctor over the hospital's reputation."

Meeting a vampire in real life whose name was Damon. "Who?" He frowned. "Vampire Diaries. Ring a bell?" He shook his head. "Never mind then." I sighed. "My name is Damon Cullen," he stated. I gave him a long look. This was suspicious. "Do you have someone named Edward Cullen in your family?" I questioned. "No, and I don't know why you're stating all of these names. Besides, I don't have a family." I got disappointed at his answer since I was kinda wishing he would've said yes. His whole existence is just a huge coincidence.

Eyebrow quivering higher, he commented thoughtfully, "Certainly not the particular one." We exchanged a dubious look and blurted out at the same time, "Lucien." Standing up from the couch, I stared at the wall ahead and uttered tightly, "I think I might know where those humans are kept after being abducted." Daniel looked at me with questioning eyes, "Lucien is the same vampire that was burned down to ashes by Xander yesterday, right?" All I did in response was nod my head. Frowning deeply, Daniel screeched, "But why would he do that?" He looked at me with a mixture of curiosity and shock, wanting to know more but dreading the answer at the same time.

From my peripheral vision, I could see his lips curl into a smirk, and I felt uneasy. “Can we eat? I’m starving,” I said, and with that, everyone dug into their food. Different questions swam in my head, and I decided to ask them. I was going to try and be happy for my mother, at least, I needed to know what kind of person she was getting married to. “So, Daniel,” I started, and the room fell silent. “What do you do?” Daniel finished the food in his mouth before clearing his throat. “Well, asides loving your mother, I’m an investment banker.”

Dan said, so I quickly looked away. So he was no longer a v*rgin when he met me? Oh, no! I hope he doesn't have any diseases like AIDS! Wait, do vampires even get those diseases? "Why do you look like that? Sorry, but I'm a vampire, and we don't get those things, so we're safe, so you don't have to worry. Also, I swear to you, I will not be able to find someone like you," Dan said, and he smirked at me and leaned his face toward me.

They stared at me like they were afraid that if they talked, I could fucking lash out instantly. "You cool?" Yeah, the one that has the fucking mind to ask me, Daniel. Oh, but he could fucking guess what's wrong. That guy could sense anyone's body language. I sipped from the vodka and sighed in relief. I closed my eyes while they watched me. "I'm fine," I replied. "I'm not gonna ask what happened," Raven replied. "You know what? Let's talk about Willow Fletcher. Now, who wants to fuck her?" Daniel asked. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and started checking my messages, even though I didn't have any.

, Daniel muttured mockingly. “Erhnn..”, I replied lost of words, as it looked as if I was caught stealing. We are both adults and whatever we did shouldn’t be a problem right? It’s what I was sent here to do and wait!… hope it doesn’t mean something would happen after us being together? “Why are you standing so close to her and asking her all sorts of absurd questions?!”, Damon demanded, stepping out of his office and walking towards me. “Good morning sir”, Daniel greeted with a smile on his face.
