~Isabella I sank into the soft mattress of the hotel bed, letting out a slow breath. I was finally out. After all these months of being locked away like a caged animal, I could finally stretch my legs without hearing the rattling of prison chains. Jasper sat next to me, his face as unreadable as ever, casually loading his gun like we weren’t two fugitives hiding from the world. I turned to him. “What about the others?” He didn’t look up. “Which others?”

Nerissa nods in agreement and reaches out to touch Joe's hand in a farewell gesture, and the sisters swim away, leaving the prison chamber behind. Once the princesses leave the prison chamber, the guard swiftly approaches the tear-shaped cage and unlocks it. As the cage opens, a symphony of clan chains fills the air, signaling the resumption of rec time. Doors slide open, releasing the inmates from their cells, but Joe and Bryan no longer have the heart to continue their game of cards. Their minds are filled with unspoken words and emotions, leading them both to make their way back to their cell.

Fenris had already rushed over to scoop Selene up. "I'm taking you to the clinic," he snapped. Before leaving, he shot me a look of pure loathing and disappointment. I was left alone in the living room, staring at my bloody, mangled palms. I felt nothing. The pain, the rage, the despair—it had all been ground out of me during those two years in a cell. I punched the bridge of my nose and rubbed my temples, telling the stress that had chained me to release me from it's shackles. Jade's turn and she told a story that had already been written by some author known as Godwin Hosanna Aga. The book was named in the deep and it was about some girl named Hephzibah and it was pretty interesting and scary the way my baby sister had told it with a touch light under her chin, illuminating her face and weird canines. "And that is, in the deep!" Jade screamed, stomping her feet on the floor and howling like a wolf.

I ate half my turkey sandwich and then emptied the bag taking out all the items I bought back from the museum. “Check this out” I say taking out Iris’s book and handing over to Rae. Looking over the book her eyes widen “Holy shit look at this thing! How does it open?” Shrugging. “We dunno, Iris seems to think there’s some kinda key, but we can’t seem to see where a key would be inserted. There’s too much detailing to figure it out. We also found this…” I took out the book that had pictures and poems in. “I jotted down the pages we found significant but I’d like you to take a look over it before I show you.”

Birdie stepped out of the room and came back with a glass of water for me to calm down. I drank the water halfway through the cup and took a deep breath before speaking again. “I don’t know how often this situation happens to someone, maybe you just got lucky.” Lindy laughs humorlessly as she placed her hands over her hips, “Just got lucky? Are you being utterly serious right now? What’s the luck in having your phone swapped with some stranger?” Milo pauses while rubbing his chin with his finger, “You’re right.” “Where are you now anyways?” Lindy asks, hoping the man she is talking to is still in Canada. Milo sees Jasper entering the plane looking like he just rolled out from his bed. He chuckles at Jasper, “No sleep Jas?” he asked as he covers the phone with his huge hand.
