A deep voice asked gruffly. Ignoring the apparent irritation in the man's voice on the other end, Jason said, “I hired a few thugs from the black serpent gang to do a little job for me and they have left too many crumbs behind that could lead to me and they have become a liability to my reputation. Kill them all. I need no witness of the truth alive.” “Anything else?” “No. For now, I must keep in the shadows and see what happens.” “Copy, boss.” After the call ended, Jason sighed, and his heart jumped in his chest when he heard Sophia's voice, “Dad is finally dead? You killed him.”

My tears turn to sobs, and I curl up on my side away from Kaden, away from those probing eyes of his, away from the memories of being abused and raped. Away from Jason's offspring. I feel the presence of the man who was my saviour.. Who had come to mean so much to me in such a stupidly short amount of time, but I just can't differentiate him from his father. "He's gone?" After giving everything to the police they needed and the body was taken away, they left the house, knowing they’d never come back. The three got back to their clearing, Michael appeared in shock as Alissa and Luca gently guided him to the house. Alissa went to find the others to explain what happened while Luca supported Michael to get to a shower and a change of clothes.
