Elias raises his eyebrow slightly at the tears trailing down my now crimson cheeks, appearing even more so amused by my current state. "Why are you crying?" He questions softly as he removes his hand from over my mouth and up to my eyes.

Kian was out of his chair and around the table in seconds, kneeling beside me and wiping my tears with his thumbs while his eyes searched my face with concern. The gesture made more tears escape my eyes. "Why are you crying?" he asked gently. "Did I do something wrong?" "No," I said through the tears. "You did everything right, that's why I'm crying, because I can't remember when last someone did something this nice for me and I don't know how to handle it." He pulled me against his chest and let me cry into his white shirt while his hand stroked my hair, and I couldn't stop the tears even though I was embarrassed by them.

They had nothing to do with it. Thier only crime was being born into my family. I couldn't read Kaya. The day before the party, I was wondering why she was crying indifferent to the fact that Lana was missing and it upset me greatly that she was being insensitive to it but after I saw her down in the dungeon, I knew that it affected her. She was just trying not to get emotional about it. When Nora flung the door open and walked in, I thought something had happened. “She’s crying.”

Tears begin to fall from his eyes slowly, then continuously. “I miss you so much,” Kai sobs softly between tears. “Where exactly are you in this world?”"

There, sitting at the top against the wall, so still I almost disregarded her as a trashcan or other school facet, is Lana. Tears stream quietly down her twisted face. Her chest rises and falls in steady, forcibly-controlled breaths, as she tries to calm herself down. She must hear me approach because she pries her wet, long lashes apart. Once she sees it’s me, something in her familiar expression melts, and she shifts backwards. Her pink flush tints her entire face, eyebrows knotted together in something akin to sorrow. “Kieran,” she weeps, “I’m sorry.”

I was sobbing hysterically. Kai pulled me on top of him, giving me a big bear hug. We were still naked, so this would have been sexy, if I didn’t slobber all over him. “Moon, It’s okay. My Moon. It’s going to be okay. I’m so sorry. I should have told you sooner.” Kai said, stroking my hair. I continued crying, letting it all out. How much was I fucking holding in? I hadn’t cried like this since I was in that cave. But then I cried out of betrayal and now it felt like this release of guilt I had been holding inside.

I feel very emotional today. So much happened in just a few hours. I am still trying to process everything.” She stated. Kai rubbed her arms and kissed her temple, “I understand, Piper. You are allowed to cry. You don’t have to keep it in. I promise everything will be alright.” He told her.

She turns to see a serious look of concern on Kai, something she isn’t used to seeing just yet. “What? What’s wrong?” she asks. Looking around frantically, she sees there is nothing around them except more forestry, but she can feel they are nowhere near the Raseri Tribe territory anymore. Kai suddenly takes her face and wipes her cheeks. Only is it then that she feels her face wet, tears still rolling down her cheeks as they continue to fill up her eyes. “Oh, it must be the water mixed with the wind,” she laughs and wipes her face. “I wasn’t paying attention and probably got something in my eye.”

I glared at Kai, hard, while running my hand across Eli’s back to comfort him. “Really?” I hissed under my breath. Kai rolled his eyes and sat up fully, running a hand through his hair with a tired sigh. “Extra sensitive hearing besides I’m not a morning person,” he muttered before looking at Eli again. The boy looked like he was trying not to cry all over again. Kai groaned, exasperated, then dragged a hand down his face. “Alright, kid. If you don’t cry again for the rest of the day, i'll let you have some snacks this morning. Deal?”
