Once there was nothing but the wood, I picked up the laundry and headed down stairs. The laundry closet was next to the door that headed down into our gym. It was an laundromat sized washer and dryer, since we did sometimes have table clothes, napkins, and the drapes from the bar but it helped being able to wash huge loads of normal laundry as well. Shoving the towels and bedding into the washer, I started to strip down as well. My shirt, covered in red. My pants, covered in red. They all needed to go. Once shoved in, I turned on the washer after filling it with soap. Watching the water fill for a minute, I stared at it. My mind still completely blank. Only feeling the slight chill down here

As Matt walked out of our suite, I wondered what he meant by, “It’s the least I can do.” What happened downstairs? I didn’t want to bother him to find out because he did have a grown ass man slung over his shoulder. I sighed as I looked at the bloody mess on our living room floor. With a sigh and a shake of my head, I went to the kitchen to get my steam cleaner. I filled the reservoir with sanitizer and started steam cleaning and sanitizing the floor in our suite until my mate walked in.

The day had gone by slowly, with Mirabella doing what she did best — keeping herself busy so she wouldn’t have to think too much. She spent the morning cleaning the kitchen and toilets, scrubbing the counters, and sweeping the floors. Then she moved to the laundry, sorting out the dirty clothes that had been piling up for days. She poured detergent into the washing machine, stuffed the clothes in, and stood by as the machine rumbled to life. The smell of soap filled the air, mixing with the faint scent of lemon air freshener she’d sprayed earlier.

Damien said quietly, not wanting to wake Anysia. Ignoring my racing heart and Damien's obvious presence in the room, I pointed to the laundry basket stationed nearby, which was overflowing with clothes. "I've got work," I whispered, sorting the load carefully, picking up each item one by one, and folding them neatly. I stepped into the well-lit laundry room which had two washers and dryers, all gleaming silver in the light, hoping I wouldn't ruin Anysia's expensive and delicate clothes. Carefully, I separated the whites, the colors, and the delicates, making sure to incorporate a special kind of detergent that was meant for such luxurious fabrics.

He chuckled. I blushed and looked down. “I wasn’t finished,” I mumbled. He pulled out what looked like a weird drawer in the corner of the machine and looked inside. “You haven’t put any laundry detergent in.” He frowned. I took a wild guess that he meant the white powder on the floor. “No,” I muttered. “It’s on the floor.” I pointed down to the floor awkwardly. “Master,” I added. Alessandro looked at me amusingly. “Here.” He said.

Across the bottom corner of the box it said Beltless. “Do you need any help?” Mom asked. “Uh, no. I think I can figure it out,” Lauren said. “Rinse out your underwear and leave it in the bathroom. I’ll put something on it to take the stains out after,” Mom said. “Okay,” Lauren said in a tiny voice. When she came out of the bathroom Mom was waiting with a bottle of Midol. She handed Lauren two of the pills and said, “You’re going to need those.”

Matt said as if trying to lighten the mood. -"At least she doesn't have to go through some sick medieval torture trials." Sarcasm takes the best of me, and I don't even bother to look at Matt. I continue to face the sink, pouring some of the lemon-scented dish soap onto the sponge. -"Right, about that..." I roll my eyes and start washing the dishes in the sink before ranting. -"Ughh, what now?! Let me guess, Elder Theo wants me to stand on one foot while magically balancing two stacked glass towers on my hands and reciting one of Shakespeare's literature backward?! Well, let me tell you that Elder is nuts." Matt suppresses a chuckle.

"The Alpha is being very hard on you, Elvira." "He’s just being himself, Aria," I replied. "Show me where to go." The laundry room was a huge area filled with the noise of industrial washers and the hiss of steam presses. The air was hot and smelled strongly of bleach and soap. Aria introduced me to Martha, a stout woman with grey hair and strong arms, she was the head of the domestic staff, and she did not look impressed by me. "So, you’re the new girl," Martha said loudly over the noise. She handed me an apron.

Grunting as I pulled the heavy mattress into her back yard over to the garden hose. I doused it in the antibacterial soap I had been given that day in health class. I stood partially bent over scrubbing away the dog hair with a few of the stains that came out. After washing it the best I could with my hands, I pulled it behind the garage attached to my house. Hoping no one would see it and it would be able to dry in the sun till tomorrow. Sure would beat sleeping on the hardwood floor with my one blanket.

So the two men would probably have to do the last load alone. The small bathroom was quickly mopped and the dirty water disposed of. While I threw the last load of laundry into the laundry basket for today and turned the machine on again, I decided to get a limescale cleaner on my next visit. In addition to the room spray, the upholstery cleaner, the degreaser and the other five cleaning agents that were now on my mental list. Okay, then I was just crazy about cleaning, but that was still better than living in such a filthy mess.
