I studied the space anyway, filing everything away. The chandeliers were old-world crystal, polished to perfection. The windows were tall, arched, reinforced with iron filigree shaped like crescent moons. Power lived here. It lingered in the air, heavy and unapologetic.
“This library,” he continued, gesturing to a massive double door as servants opened it ahead of us, “contains records of every treaty my pack has ever signed. Knowledge is leverage. I never rule without it.”
