Her face was so delighted. “Are you sure?” She asked. Her reaction made Juviana’s mouth bitter. As usual, Miley was dense. ”My friend.” Juviana took a deep breath and braced herself. “Do you know who it is?” She politely gestured at Ibrahim. Her lips stiffed, watching Ibrahim with interest. “The lion king. King Ibrahim.” Juviana nodded her head, unsure. “Do you know who he is?” “... King Ali. Wingsman king.” Miley felt awkward. Something caught in her brain.

She's mine. I climb, slowly and carefully, my coils wrapping the trunk, dodging the last of her barbs. The air grows heavy with her presence. It's wild, defiant and intoxicating. My hands are inches from her perch when a roar splits the night. "Coilheart!" Hadrian's voice thunders, shaking the leaves. I hiss in anger, twisting to look down. The lion king storms into the clearing, his golden eyes blazing, flanked by Fenrick's black wolf form and Nythor's white striped tiger. Three against one. Again.

Just safety. “And lions,” Kiara adds brightly. “Hyenas. Snakes. Spiders. Crocodiles. Things that eat babies.” Her chin is still planted on my shoulder like she’s narrating a wildlife documentary. I clear my throat. “Wow. Supportive. Ten out of ten,” I snarl, sarcastically. “Even a crocodile is better than D.” She sighs dramatically. “I’ve always wanted to go to South Africa,” she says in a voice so fake-happy it should come with a warning label.

“See? He’s a stone-cold motherfucker ... nothing bothers him because we know what’s true ... Lombardo is numero uno, and whoever says we’re not are the ones who want power change ... traitors ... and you know what happens to traitors?” Shadow was quiet for a moment before he nodded. They all knew what would happen to a traitor, and it’s easy to be considered a traitor in a sensitive time like that. “So ...” Joey slapped Shadow’s shoulder and startled him. “Do you know where we can find these Veronese Monkeys selling the Russian powder?”

he said softly, and just like a lightning, something soft touched my lips, as all the butterflies began to dance the old fate song. “MOMMY, WHAT HAPPENS AFTER Simba leaves their kingdom?” When I heard Rious’ voice, I came out of my trance. I grin gently as I stare at him. “Well, Simba met his buddies Timon and Pumba, and they traveled and grew together, and Simba learned to eat worms,” I added, brushing his hair. “But he was a lion.” “Yes, he was a meat-eating lion who also ate insects,” I said with a smile.

Rayhan asked, keeping his eyes on me. I was so close to bursting into laughter. "I can sense it." Liam replied, shrugging. I giggled. "Yeah, not mates." I said. "You look amazing though." Rayhan said. "Thank you." "I want to see who gets Kiara… I'm guessing some Alpha in his early twenties…" Liam said as Rayhan met them both with a hug. "Gets? Am I prize to be won?" "Well, you do kind of look like a trophy right now." Damon teased and I glared at him.

she says as tears roll down her cheeks. "Can I tell them," Maria asks in sympathy and I just lay my head in her lap, watching outside the entertainment room. "Kennedy is the Queen of all leopards. I heard Bethany telling Sam and Skylar about it before they were attacked in the den. She said it's the reason Kennedy has been able to do what normal leopards like us can't.

Capri… “My names Jade and I’m not from here. My moms always told me don’t talk to strangers and besides your the wrong gender!” Jade was was Capris alter ego, she never told anyone she didn’t know her real name. She was not a bird brain easily impressed woman. Men would often pull our wads of cash out to try and impress her, but she would look away in disgust. Money didn’t impress her, neither did material things. She had everything she needed or wanted. Capri worked to ensure she would never be in need or want. She also told them she wasn’t into men as a way to get them to back down. She knew she needed another excuse. That line did not work, she would have never though these little boys wo

I murmured. “Good. Simon is looking for you, Lydia. You should report to him.” “Yes, alpha.” She did a little bow before waving at Kiara who returned the wave with a soft smile. As Lydia slipped out past him, Kael’s gaze lingered on Kiara. His brow furrowed slightly. “Were you crying?” he asked her in a calm tone. “Of course not.” Kiara lied smoothly. “I’m fine, just dealing with the fumes of these herbs.” She shifted, deliberately redirecting his attention.

Each person silently said goodbye but gave me space to grieve. Before long, Claire came in and sat down next to me. “I have arranged a send-off,” she said softly. “Luna queens are not cremated, or placed in the ground. They are given back to the world so they can be born again in time that they are needed,” she explained to me. “Kent, Jared and Toney are decorating the canoe now with her favorite flowers. Once it is complete, we will place her body into it and set it adrift in the river. Lilly was in archery, so I felt that it was only right that her very best friend…her…her ...sister is…the one to ....” She said her voice was breaking. “Set it on fire,” I said, my eyes still locked on Auror
