So I took my things so that I would go straight away later when Hugh arrived. I smiled seeing Hugh’s text on my phone. He’s asking if I want him to cook for our dinner. Just a simple message and it simply makes my day. "Angel," I turned to grandma, she grabbed my attention. I sat beside her and held her hand. "It's been so long since I last saw you smile." My brows furrowed I smiled while still confused. “What do you mean grandma? I always smile! You told me that smile is a free therapy. ” I’m smiling still.

I pulled the sheet up over my face so he wouldn't see me smile. L

“Here” There was a gentle dreamy smile on his face. The kind of smile people had when they cared for someone unconditionally. The kind of smile people had when they loved someone. The kind of smile I hadn’t seen on his face for a long time. My anticipation grew to the height of an Iroko tree as I took his phone and looked at the screen.

I had listened although not interested in half of what he was saying I had been patient just like him and had listened to his every word. The old doctor was taken aback when I had spoken to appreciate him. Then soon after he heard those words a smile blossomed on his face and I couldn't help but try to smile back. Only that I couldn't. It was then I realized how long it was since I had last smiled and now I had forgotten how to smile.

I smiled sadly at them knowing that in the next few hours I will be away from them, but I was also happy that on this phone there were pictures of joy which will hopefully get me through the through the tough times to come. Just as I was going to grab the phone from William opened the camera and told me to smile. I did the best I could given my current mental state and William brought his head down to my level, he was ridiculously tall, and smiled as he took the photo. “There, now you have one of you as well. You should smile more, it suits you.” He said looking at me seriously.

“Well, if you don’t speak, I could punish you then so you have no choice really.” “Oh boy,” I whispered, about to roll my eyes but quickly managed to stop myself. “It’s just that…I’ve never seen your smile. I—I didn't even know you were capable of that.” He smirked, taking a sip from his glass. “My goodness, you seem determined to shorten your lifespan. Besides, haven't I left in front of you before?" I shrugged. "Well that was a laughter for something funny I did. But this...a completely genuine smile from your heart."
