The newborn child slowly opened it's eyes peacefully revealing a light blue hue of colour as if its the sea from the tropic countries. ''There's another one,'' the old woman hurrily said and instructed Lucia again to do the same thing as she did earlier. This time, the newborn child let out a loud cry as it exits through her mother's womb. It's eyes are just like from the other one but the difference is the other one is red in color with a mole on it's left cheek. It's complexion are just the same from the other one making them both breathtakingly beautiful. ''I don't understand. How come their skins and eyes are like this?'' Levi asked in confusion.

She gritted her teeth and pushed with all her might, until finally, the baby arrived. Luna Harriet held her newborn baby in her arms, and she was overcome with emotion. It was a beautiful, perfect child. But something was not right. The baby's skin was not pink and healthy, but a dark, inky black. The baby's eyes were not bright and clear, but filled with shadows. The baby's heart did not beat with a steady rhythm, but with an erratic, ominous pulse. The baby was not a healthy child, but a creature of darkness. Luna Harriet gasped in horror, and held the baby at arm's length.

A shrill, fierce cry that cut through everything. I felt my heart leap into my throat. I lifted the baby with trembling hands. A baby boy. He was tiny—smaller than I’d expected—and slick with vernix and blood. His entire body writhed, as if he were trying to roar his way into the world. I held him close, but even before I’d cleaned him, his eyes fluttered open. Gold. His eyes were gold—the faintest candlelight in a dark room. A moment later, they blinked fully open, and he stared at me with that wild, knowing look. I barely had time to process it before my knees went weak.

She growls at me. "No Luna, he didn't make me cry,momma is just sad." Morana tells her. "It's ok momma don't be sad, I'm here now." I'm still in shock looking at the little girl, those eyes I know those eyes. They are only possible in the Kelly line. When babies are born their eyes are violet until their first shift where their eyes change or remain violet. But she can't be a Kelly, it's not possible. I squat down to her level. "Hey princess what's your name?" I ask her in a soothing voice.

She looked at him, hesitating for a moment, her eyes flashing back to the child. However, rage was enough to make her lift up the blade in readiness to plunge but just as she did, the baby opened it's eyes a little as if sensing danger, coughing once. It blinked trying to open it's eyes wider. For the first time Rebecca noticed it's eyes. It wasn't brown like his father's or grey like his mother, but a deep blue like hers. She held her breath for a second as a sudden wave of emotion captivated her like a storm, suddenly feeling like crying.

Nick buried his face in my hair and let out a contented sigh as his preferred cuddle position was achieved. "I'm... okay," I murmured, still feeling uneasy. Nick must have picked up on my tone because he asked, "What did you see earlier?" I tried to turn to face him in his cuddle hold. "I thought I saw Rosie's eyes look at me with a vacant expression." I confessed. "That seems normal, Eleanor. Babies tend to do that. Their eyes and lips move when they're dreaming," Nick's calm voice slowly eased my anxiety. "Really?" I murmured before kissing him. "Then I guess I'm just being paranoid."

After what felt like an eternity, a tiny cry broke through. He cracked the door as they swaddled the baby. Luca went to her side, brushing his lips against her forehead. Let me see him, she whispered. They passed the baby to Luca. They stared at him. Tiny fists clenched, he blinked open his eyes. A nervous chuckle escaped them. He’s so little, Jade murmured, kissing his head. Luca, I’m exhausted. Her head lolled back. Doctor, is this normal? Luca shouted. The doctor moved quickly. Shit. He jabbed something into her arm. Jade was bleeding. Get the blood ready, she needs a transfusion. The shot should slow it down.

I don’t know what to think or do but I need to know why he is worried! “Sorry miss, this is my first time helping with a wolf birth. Your baby is fine, just different I think.” He hands me my little girl, and I see why he was concerned. She has black eyes. It is abnormal but I don’t care. Like humans, the eye color will change over time. I just hope it is not red, like Soteria. That would be a give away that she or would be gifted.

She asked as she repositioning the baby to burp him. "May I?" I asked. She nodded and after a few successful burps laid the now drowsy baby in my arms. I studied the little guy as his eyes opened to register who I was. They were golden eyes but there was a blue ring around the outside of his pupils. His skin was soft and a beautiful caramel color. Dark curls were sparse on his little head. He was adorable and after deciding he could trust me he kicked his blanket he was swaddled in with his left foot then fell asleep.
