I know what I'm doing is wrong, but what she doesn't know won't hurt her, right? The way she limped up the stairs still disturbs me. Kaima was simply careless and I couldn't stop myself from throwing daggers at her with my eyes... she was too occupied to notice, anyway. She sat opposite me on our study table but she was too engrossed and at some intervals too excited to be the same girl who always groans at the sight of her books. Even I wouldn't and I can say for a fact that I love studying, except... I zoomed my sight on the book in her hands. That wasn't her basic technology textbook. It's a novel, one that isn't part of her literature class and the title- 'One night with the playboy'

I said talking his phone and saved it in his mobile. "I really hope you know what you are actually doing." I said looking at him. "I think I do. But do you?" he asked looking at me. "I have to figure it I guess." I replied rubbing my hands. "I really hope you do it fast then." He said. "Yeah! I too hope so." I said and started walking towards my next class. After entering it I placed my book on the table and looked at all the students. I just stood there looking at them and they all looked at me confused.

The air smelled faintly of beeswax polish and old ink, and the only real movement in the space—besides the occasional turn of a page—was the gentle swirl of dust that danced in the light. I was supposed to be studying. The book in front of me—Runic Inflection and Spell Preservation: An Annotated History—was cracked open, the spine bowed like it had been read and re-read for decades, and still, none of it made sense. My quill lay forgotten beside it, the ink on its tip long dry, and my mind… well, my mind had wandered. But not nearly as far as Ingrid’s.

I quickly find the section I was looking for, the history section. Climbing the ladder, I went row by row searching for one particular word but couldn't find it, the library was huge then how come I can't find the exact book I was looking for? I skimmed through all the book in that row to no avail. It's was getting really frustrated and my strength with enthusiasm was weaning out, I turned to leave in anger when I mistakenly pushed down a book from it place, I quickly picked it up to place it back on the counter when I caught a glimpse of it name.

“What book are you talking about?” Oh shoot, Deja thought, realizing her slip. Time for some world-class backpedaling. “Oh, uh...” She quickly backpedaled like a pro. “You know, metaphorically speaking. Like, if my life was a book. But it’s not. Obviously. Because that would be crazy. Right?” She shot him her best “I definitely did not just mess up” grin, which, let’s be real, wasn’t fooling anyone. Ren’s lips quirked into a smile, but his eyes remained concerned. “Deja Moreau, you are the most chaotic, confusing, captivating woman I have ever met.”

"Johnny, seriously? Enough already. You haven't answered my calls or come home, and now you're here causing a scene? There's a time and place for tantrums. I'll have the driver take you home." She reached out to grab my arm. I stepped back, dodging her touch, and let out a laugh. "Don't flatter yourself, Sylvie. I'm not here for you." Tyler cut in, voice sharp and mocking. "Johnny, today's for professionals. You're not seriously here to compete in design, are you? Do you even know design? I mean, I get that you're in love with Sylvie, but you don't need to humiliate yourself." Sylvie frowned slightly, perhaps uncomfortable with his tone. But then she noticed something—something on my face.
