The first lady whined, but Moira was too confident for her, she came to stand at my front, her hands gently placed on her dress as she gave them a challenging front. I leaned towards Moira and whispered, “who are they?” “They are the Luna's of this pack, their group is referred to as the congregation of Luna's and Alexa is their leader.” Moira pointed at the lady in the middle and I chewed on my lower lip, nodding my head as I took note of them. “Ohh, please pardon our manners my Luna,” Alexa began with a tiny chuckle. “We didn't mean to startle you, we were just so excited to walk into you.” She explained.

She felt hopeless and alone. Gathering her strength, Lana began to walk with no direction. The sun was scorching and she was beyond exhausted. However, the small Island had a lot of roads. At the far end, she saw a packed car and decided to steal it. She broke into the driver's seat and started the ignition. Unfortunately, as she drove, she discovered why it was abandoned. It had no brakes. It was a struggle for her to stop the car, which caused her to end up crashing into a tree that shattered mostly the front part of the car.

They were excited to relax and finally enjoy their purchases. Lara expertly manoeuvred the car through the maze of vehicles, her eyes scanning the road ahead as she navigated the bustling traffic. The sound of honking horns and the occasional siren filled the air, blending with the excited chatter of Isabella and Carlos in the backseat. Despite the chaos, Lara remained calm and focused, her hands steady on the wheel. With a confident turn of the indicator, she merged onto the main road, seamlessly blending in with the flow of cars. The city stretched before them, its towering buildings and flashing lights a testament to its vibrant energy.

“If my calculations are right—and they always are—no one will get close enough to touch me.” “Math doesn’t stop shrapnel, Silas,” Daniel said quietly, closing the case. “No, but it keeps me three inches outside the blast radius,” Silas replied with a wink. The car was an old, dented sedan that groaned when Ronan started the engine. The inside smelled like old foam and spilled coffee. Ronan gripped the wheel firmly and pulled out, while Ara took the passenger seat and brought up the LUS map in her mind. The translucent green holographic grid appeared across her vision.

The morning sun had climbed higher, spilling warm light across Moonhaven's stone streets. Market banners fluttered gently in the breeze. Children peeked between adults, trying to catch a better glimpse. Old wolves leaned on canes. Young warriors stood with folded arms. For years, this world had existed without her. Now she stood in the middle of it again. Not as a Luna. Not as a prisoner. Simply as Rowena. Dean noticed her hesitation. He stepped closer, lowering his voice so only she could hear. "You don't have to do this." She looked at him.

Chapter Twenty-Six Lana walked out of the dome, blinking back the tears that was threatening to spill down her face. Even with Zaire's jacket draped over her shoulders, she was shaking terribly from the night cold and from what had just happened. Standing by the side of the tarred road, they were almost blinded by the headlights from Lana's Limo, as it rounded the corner and drove towards them. The car came to a stop in front of them and Diego jumped out of it, and went round to the owners spot to open the door.

“My charm may be irresistible but my demographic is really teen girls. Not so much grownup security dudes. It was just natural for me to give a reason for coming here and I said I was just visiting my bro in Camp Unplugged. Geuraeseo? It’s not a big deal.” In the graveyard silence, they hear the roar of a car engine mounting the steep street and getting closer. Soon, headlights sweep at them and Nate’s eyes widen as he sees ROTC Sergeant Luna behind the wheel and Miss Perfect sitting next to him. Caught in each other’s headlights, all four of them probably look like startled deer. “Oh no…” he mumbles. “Pali pali!” Shadow shouts and swings his leg over onto the driver’s seat. “Hop on!” ****

I was about to clarify things to this young woman when she soundly shouted “ hey young man, didn’t you hear me…. apologize to your Luna” Rowan clenched his fists tightly, I knew he was furious but was giving me the respect of not tearing her apart this moment. “Young woman,” I said “ this man right here is Beta Rowan, one more rudeness from you and you’ll be punished” She wanted to say something but I raised my hand and she shut up. “ You’re going to be my mate, not Luna, my pack has a Luna so know your place woman” I finished as Rowan got into the driver’s seat of the car, I opened the front seat door and sat down, Bella got in the back seat quietly, her smiles already disappeared. The moon goddess has finally decided to smile on me, I can not contain my excitement. I take out my phone to call him but decide against it, he could be in a meeting or he could be busy. Maybe it is best I tell him this myself. I can already feel the jitters, this is definitely the best day of my life. As I get to the car, my driver opens the door gently and bows while I enter the car and in no time, he zooms off. “Are we on our way home, Luna?” He asks from the driver’s seat.

Bearing in mind that Noah was involved in a murder case she shouldn’t have been asked to replace Lane even for a bit. It was quiet until Monica started talking to Olivia. They were discussing some women's stuff so I didn't bother to pay any attention. We were flying. Our car went through the crowded area to an isolated street. My wariness was deepening. I plumped to sit under my breath. The velocity of the vehicle dropped. It was still swift but less than when we were on the awaken street. It’s been around ten minutes on this road. The highway didn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. In these ten minutes, only one vehicle moved through this way. A minivan, surpassing us drove out of my visio
