The freelance writing paid the bills — barely. Content work, mostly. Blog posts for companies that sold things I'd never buy, product descriptions that made cheap crap sound revolutionary, the occasional ghostwritten article for someone too important to write their own words. It wasn't glamorous. It wasn't what I'd imagined when I graduated with a creative writing degree and dreams of novels and bylines and meaning.

For instance, I took that job at the New Yorker because I thought that was what I wanted my life to be like: safe and secured. But safe and secure... didn't really make me happy. When I looked back to my life, to the time where I was truly content and proud of myself, it would be the time when I finished my novel. I wanted to write again. At the company, all I did was sort through other people's writings. Although I learned a lot, I never got a chance to write anything myself. So a few weeks ago I did something insane. I handed in my two weeks notice. And today, I officially became Kara Livingston, a 23-year-old unemployed millennial.

None of them felt me. But then, tucked neatly in the classifieds, I saw it. Tech Company Seeks Copywriter. Immediate Hire. Competitive Pay. My pulse quickened. I had no choice but to return to my old profession and start writing again. It had been a month since everything happened. The month went by like a blur. Late at night, Nancy's charming, beautiful face would still flash in my mind. I need to sit down and work out the fine details of my uploading schedule for the rest of the year but rest assured, this book will be daily uploaded for the next two months (July and August) until it is completed. I have also made the choice to quit my job recently to work on my writing full time (although please remember I am still a single mother to a disabled child which will always take priority over anything else, including writing), so I will, hopefully, always have work/books on the go. I have SO many ideas as well as already written books I wish to rewrite so there is no shortage of new stories at the moment. Here is a list of books that are coming this year (or at the very least wi
