King cocked his head. “You’re rooming with Jordan and Maverick?” he asked. I didn’t even try to explain my situation or deny that I lived there. “So you two know each other?” I asked.

"Ha! Serves her right. She pretended to be a sweet and rich girl, and now she's been exposed. Karma, am I right?" Serena asked if I felt satisfied, but I only smiled and shook my head. Ever since moving into my new dorm, I have been going out with my roommates. We ate together, played murder mystery games, and went to karaoke. I finally felt how joyful college life was. Sometimes I wondered if, in my previous life, I had been roommates with Serena from the start, maybe my ending would not have been so tragic. Unfortunately, my good mood did not last long.
