Scott says and my grin grows wider. "I'm serious. I just wanted to let you know and see if you'd want to–" They cut me off. "Of course we want to go!" the three say in unison and I clap my hands happily. "Great, I'll just text dad all of our names. Vic, ask Wren if she'll be coming, Roxy, ask Kye the same and–" Roxy frowns. "When is the event happening?" she asks. "Next Friday night, from 7PM," I say cheerfully. "Is there a problem?"

Summer The digital invitation arrived on a bleak Tuesday evening, exactly fourteen days before the event, buried beneath a mountain of unread press releases and court docket alerts. It popped up on my screen with a soft, bright notification that felt entirely out of place in my cramped Brooklyn kitchen. The channel focuses on traveling the country where I document, interview people, search for, and record paranormal experiences and events. I investigate whether there is real paranormal activity occurring or if the disturbances are actually caused by natural events and circumstances. As of to date, I have yet to uncover single true evidence-based paranormal event. For the last four years I’ve spent investigating and documenting suspected paranormal events, there’s always logical and scientific evi

The storm outside broke just before midnight. Rain thrashed the windows of Club Eden’s upper floors, streaking the glass like claw marks. Thunder rumbled overhead, a deep, constant growl that made the chandeliers tremble. Most of the guests had cleared out early, unwilling to risk soaked gowns and splintered heels. The floor staff had thinned. Dancers were gone, but Raven Knight was still here, still on the top floor. Still watching Jaxon Morreau.

Phelan immediately apologized to his hosts for being late and noticed that there were three empty seats at the table before taking a seat and joining them. After he and Chadwick took theirs eats an omega came and provided them with their drinks. Clearing his throat Alpha Mixon stood and addressed the room. It was the movie I had ordered the tickets for, hoping Elowen would go with me.

What we could be together. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out, glancing at the screen. [Party tonight. You coming? - Ryan] Right. The pack social event. I'd almost forgotten. [Definitely. What time?] [8 PM. Same place as last month. Bring your A-game—half the unmated wolves in the territory will be there.] Perfect. A party would be exactly what I needed. A chance to celebrate this small victory, to show everyone that I was exactly where I belonged—in Damon's orbit, in his life, soon to be in his bed.

The flashing light was hitting my eyes, yet it was a good distraction not to think of anything. Just what I need. A little rebellious night won’t hurt, right? The Pulse, a family-friend-owned nightclub, was brimming with wild people, dancing and grinding on the dancefloor and I can already see a glimpse of myself being one of them once I filled myself with alcohol.

The two of us head over to the marquee for the briefing and set up. The event starts at 9:00 and by 11:00 most people are here and flooding the beach. The party is at full blast. I’m walking around with trays of drinks and food, offering them to the esteemed members of the gentleman’s club as well as their partners and bratty children (most of whom I go to university with). The beach is filled with wolves, humans, vamps, fae, witches, warlocks, everyone who is anyone in the business world.

The product got sold out within a month of its release and they, with the other people, who also invested into it got some pretty decent numbers. And yes, that's the reason he's here. “The first party is going to hold at their company, there will be a lot of people in there. That includes, Customers, workers, and everyone else who had something to do with it. The After-party, on the other hand, will be held at the Hilton's place.” Mr. Lewis said. “Oh, well, that settles it.” Said Shawn as they both stopped walking when they were outside the gigantic building. “Yeah, are you bringing anyone w-- oh, hello.” Said the older man, who was rudely cut off by an excited child.
