Chapter 123 – Power Shift Paige arrived at Reed Corporation thirty minutes early, determined to make a statement. She headed straight to Aria's office, which she shared with three other colleagues,one man and two women. For months, Paige had earned everyone's respect by flaunting her engagement to Noel Black. She'd only stopped about a month ago when news of the accident broke. But Noel was still known as the soon-to-be heir of New York City's most powerful family, and that carried weight.

I tapped Rita, waking her up and we both stood up. "This is Rita and Makaila." Nigel introduced us. "Wait, So this is the famous Makaila, Christian won't stop talking about." Mrs Hales smirked. "That's right."Nigel smiled at me and I smiled at Christian's parents. "It's a pleasure to meet...." I stretched my hand for a shake, only to be pulled in to a bone crushing hug by Mrs Hales. My eyes widen when I see a woman sitting in the middle of the office instead of Landon, as I walk closer I see: Elizabeth Paige. The woman I have learnt to hate my entire life. She was always so perfect and happy in her own world. She used to read books, always have a big smile on her face and most importantly, had Nathan’s attention.
